This is amazing bike for rider. It is better all time. The day when i was going to book yamaha fz25, i thought there might be a long waiting period for this bike. But eventually it as i got the bike in 15 days and all documentation related things were very nicely handled by the sales person so my buying experience was good. While what can i say about the riding experience its awesome and the looks is very attractive where were i go people comes and ask me which bike it is which makes me feel happy, engine performance is too much awesome for city riding as well as highway. Well its first service cost me around 1100rs which is done at 1000km where as its second service comes at 5000km which quite nice. The only cons factor which i believe is headlight focus is low and shorter side mirror, other than that bike performance is really nice.

I bought fz25 just a week ago, it feels so much good to ride the bike at high speed and also at low speed...I would recommend people to buy a ballistic blue fz25 , the look is totally awesome...People notices you when you ride,...And when it comes to performance you'll know automatically you just have to take test ride of it. And about servicing and maintenance- i'll also when i take my bike for its 1st service.

Pros- pickup, speed, awesome handling, looks like a beast

Cons- i think mileage 43kmpl(is mentioned) but i find a difference of almost 20 kmpl i.E. 23.6kmpl(i found this data on my bike's trip meter, don't know why?)

This bike is monster for all other bikes in this price range.. I like the design and the performance of bike.

    1) most affordable 250cc bike in India

This typical yamaha carries the tag of most affordable motorcycle in the quarter liter segment. Fz25 comes with a smaller price tag than other motorcycles around the engine segment. The only motorcycles that falls under its price tag is apache rtr 200, and pulsar ns200 and both of them carries a smaller engine. Pulsar rs200, ktm 200 duke and even the cbr250r are highly priced in comparison. Fz25 is available for inr 1,19,300 (ex-showroom delhi).

    2) excellent mileage @ 43 kmpl

Yamaha fz25 claims an excellent mileage of 43 kmpl. All others around the segment are not even into the 40+ league as maximum of them return close to 35 kmpl of mileage from their engines. This will keep the overall cost of running low and let the user enjoy ample power within the accessible range. The powerful engine is even delivering class leading torque in its price segment.

    3) good build quality

Fz250 is a yamaha by birth and this makes it entitled to the best quality components available across Indian motorcycle industry. It shares most of its components with the younger fz version 2.0, promising high quality product that will turn perform better on everyday roads. The tried and tested formula even builds more trust within the existing and new customers for yamaha motor India.

    4) lightweight

Yamaha has built the bike in such a away that it weighs just 148 kg with full fuel tank and all fluids in the engine. A motorcycle that carries 14 liters of petrol, 1.55 liters of engine oil and few other liquid components weighs quite low when compared to others around the performance segment. This makes it easy for riders to control the fz250 in heavy traffic and even handling it around the bends at certain speeds.

    5) availability

Yamaha fz25 is available pan India from the first day of its launch. Unlike tvs and bajaj, they will start deliveries across every small and large city of India at the same time. The rival products like dominar 400 and apache rtr 200 are not even available across every dealership of the country. Not just that, yamaha is expanding its dealership network in such a way that every indian motorcycle lover can buy one around his town.

    6) macho design

The design of yamaha fz25 looks inspired from other members of the fz family, carrying the macho character for enhanced street bike appeal. The fuel tank is even chiselled for maximum attitude while extended cowls are totally new in design. The headlight flaunts fearless styling while lighter tail end adds the sporty bit into the overall design. It even looks mature with its independent tyre hugger.

    7) comfortable seat height

Yamaha fz25 comes with a seat height of 795 mm, making it lower than most other street fighters in the price segment. This makes it easy for riders with average height to control the bike and drive with an easy hand. Along with that, the seating posture of the fz25 is said to be typical street bike style, improving over the position that is available on the other fz series bikes. Straight back can even reduce fatigue during extended rides on the fz25.

    8) high torque

The 249 cc, fuel injected engine produces 20 nm of torque at just 6,000 rpm. The high torque promises excellent riding comfort and easy drive on all types of terrains. The engine is relaxed and pushing the rider for high revving is not in its nature. The mature riding style may not be suitable for those who love revving the bike hard but could impress audience which needs a bike with ample power and powerful presence.

    9) full led headlamp

Yamaha fz25 is the first bike of its class that comes with led headlight. Not just that, it is even the most affordable bike that carries full led headlamp. Leds save power and even present clearest beam of light in low light conditions. It even carries led tail light, making it the first Indian fz to carry the same feature. The design of the headlight is even aggressive, improving the style quotient of the motorcycle in every way.

    10) all-digital instrument console

The instrument console on the new fz25 is really impressive, presenting new features like dual trip-meter, instantaneous and average mileage as well as a digital clock. The regular values like tachometer, speedometer and odometer are also placed in a nice manner, making values easily visible while driving.

    11) attractive shades

Yamaha fz25 is offered in three attractive shades namely warrior white, ballistic blue, and knight black. The dual tone shades offer gloss black as second shade on the blue and black while grey/matt black can be seen on most of the panels of warrior white. The shades are really attractive and customer can select any one out of all at the same price tag of inr 1,19,300. Yamaha misses out the typical race blue from the fz series.

    12) low power but very quick!

The power output of yamaha fz25 is 20.69 bhp at 8000 rpm. The value seems low when compared to the output of bajaj pulsar ns200 (23.17 bhp), pulsar rs200 (24.2 bhp) and ktm 200 duke (24.6 bhp). All other produce the peak power at 9500-10000 rpm while the yamaha fz25 needs just 8000 rpm for the same. Yamaha fz25 is one of the quickest bikes in india in this price range.

    1) buying experience:I bought the yamaha fazer-25 on first available date i.E. September 14,2017 from pune yerawada authorised dealer. Smooth buying experience. Out of 2 colour options (soulful cyan & rhythmic red) i bought soulful cyan which is my favourite. 2) riding experience:The bike looks bulky but very smooth for riding and weight feels very less. I rode bike for 5000 kms in all conditions. We can feel the punch of 250cc engine while overtaking other vehicles. It has great pick-up. Very good cornering capabilities. Riding in city also is quiet fun. I have used it for touring also, experience was as expected. It just miss abs and 6th gear, the only con of this bike.3) looks and performance:The bike is very eye catchy. The youth generation asked me about bike so many times. It feels great. The fully-faired version is quiet new and edgy so it attracted so many people. The performance is great. I get average of 35 kmpl in city normal conditions. What should we expect from a 250 cc segment bike, though the average is best in class.4) servicing and maintenance:The first free service is at 1k kms. It cost me 1200 inr. The second service was at 5000 km which is nice and with similar cost. The duration between two servicing is quiet large so it feels great.5) pros:A: the most affordable 250 cc tourer bike.B: great performance around 35 km/liter. C: very punchy engine.D: horns are louder which is good for tourer. E: mirror view is quiet large.F: full fairing looks very attractive.Cons:A: no 6th gear.B: no abs, though not required so much.Overall the great purchase. Happy with the bike.
