Got mileage of | 35 kmpl |
Got to know about Aerox from some of my friends.Bought the Scooter on 20th December,2025 .The engine is great with excellent power. Problem is only the mileage at present as I have recently done my first servicing.Storage area is very small and its little uncomfortable for the pillion particularly for ladies with sarees.Apart from these, it has excellent looks with elegant design.
Find out the list of available Yamaha Scooters.
The ARAI mileage of Yamaha Aerox 155 is 40 . The average of the Aerox 155 is 40 , as per the owners of the bike.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is one of the best sporty scooters available in India right now. It doesn’t feel like a normal scooter because the performance is very powerful and smooth. The 155cc liquid-cooled engine gives quick acceleration, and the scooter easily reaches high speeds without struggling. Riding on highways feels stable and confident, especially because of the large tyres and strong handling. Many riders love the sporty design because it looks premium and attracts attention on the road. One of the biggest advantages of the Aerox 155 is comfort for solo riding. The riding posture feels relaxed for long rides, and the under-seat storage is large enough to keep a helmet and small luggage. Features like Bluetooth connectivity, LED lights, digital display, traction control, and keyless ignition make the scooter feel modern and premium. Mileage is also decent for a performance scooter, giving around 40–45 km/l depending on riding style.

The Good:Highway Stability: Excellent for long distances on smooth tarmac.Fuel Efficiency: Respectable mileage (approx. 42–48 kmpl) if you ride with a light hand. The Bad (The Real-World Nightmare):Spare Parts & Service: 50% of the parts are imported from Indonesia. This triples the cost and leads to insane wait times (I’ve been waiting 10+ days for a simple coupler). The "Coupler" Issue: A widely reported electrical flaw (burnt coupler) that Yamaha refuses to fix permanently. The service centre’s solution? A ₹20,000 full wiring harness replacement or a risky "direct connection."Fragile Build Quality: The body panels are extremely weak. If you add crash guards, the vibration alone breaks the panels or loosens the screws. Even a minor tip-over results in expensive body damage.Warranty Gaps: Yamaha is incredibly rigid; missing a service by even 2,000 km results in them denying warranty claims, even for known manufacturing defects. No "City Fun": Despite the 155cc engine, the acceleration doesn't feel "peppy" in stop-and-go traffic. It feels heavy and unrewarding on bumpy Indian roads.Verdict:The Aerox is a niche product meant strictly for the highway. For daily city usage in places like Kolkata, the high cost, fragile body, and poor service support make it a "headache" rather than a "performance" scooter. Avoid if you want peace of mind.

Front suspension is too weak even a small pothole makes noise. The technician also doesn’t know about the scooter. Except that the scooter was fun making machine. It gives around 50-55 kmpl mileage on the highway. In city it gives around 47 kmpl. I had driven my scooter around 25k in three years. They never disappoint me during the long journey

I really think that this is one of the best two scooter I have ever owned. No doubt that it has the best performance comparatively. However, the rush and the connection that the rider feels are very engaging. The stock silencer sound is very soothing and roaring at the same time. If you are into modification and all you are going to love it. There are so many aftermarket options available for this scooter that you can hardly think of them all.

Buying experience as good as expected, riding experience and it's looks are the main points that make you definitely buy it. Its comfort is also good, but ground clearance is 145mm, so it is not made for Indian Villages. We have to do its service after 3 to 4 months it's spare parts are costly than other brands. But definitely it worth its price. It is a value-for-money maxi scooter.

Aerox 10000 km review

Initial 2000 km were tricky as the riding position and hard suspension were an issue. Drawback for the model is with Front suspension, Yamaha could get an upgrade package for Front suspension just like they do in Indonesian market. Electronics work as marketed but issue stays with service .Technicians are not prepared or trained well to handle the tech centric service setup introduced with new lineup starting from R15 V3 to Aerox and list goes on.

King of Scooters.
