About GTS 300
Vespa GTS 300 is expected to launch in India in December 2021 in the expected price range of ₹ 4,50,000 to ₹ 5,00,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to GTS 300 are Benelli Leoncino 500, Benelli TRK 502 & Benelli TRK 502X.
If you are a scooter lover and want the bragging rights of having one of the best in the business this is it. The Vespa GTS 300 is the most powerful offering from the portfolio of the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer. Even though the powerful scooter is mechanically different from its siblings, it still retains the fundamental Italian styling.
The Vespa GTS 300 uses a part-analogue-part-digital instrument console with an LCD display that houses the fuel gauge, odometer, trip-meter and clock. Powering the scooter is a 278cc, single-cylinder motor churning out 22bhp of peak power and 22.3Nm of torque. Since it’s the most powerful scooter from the stables of Vespa, the GTS 300 features traction control and a two-channel ABS system.
The scooter features an all-steel body which Vespa claims helps in the handling dynamics and high speed stability of the scooter. Braking is taken care of by 220mm diameter disc brakes at front and rear which is necessary, given the claimed top speed of 128kmph. The scooter also has a claimed fuel efficiency of 28kmpl.
The GTS300 will be sold through Piaggio Group’s Motoplex showroom. The premium Vespa has no competition and will not be sold in large numbers as it does not fall in the mass market segment.
