Performance review

I have been using this for more than 2 years.... The bike does not give a good mileage ... Mileage in the range of 30 to 32 kilometres per litre... Even the engine doesn't feel very smooth....Have got it serviced from unauthorized yamaha dealer but still the problem persists... Only looks good.. Rest all features are average.

1.Buying formalities were quite smooth and dealers were friendly and cooperative. Rvm motors parippally. 2. Very good riding comfort when compared with rivals. Feels heavy chunky on the road, cornering speeding braking were good.3. Looks amazing quite nice feels with good quality materials used. Performance riding solo and with passenger it performs well. Turning radius and other mechanical and electrical features are good.4. Servicing is not a problem nowadays yamaha has franchised service stations almost everywhere. Just be clear on the maths you can ask for breakdown price for each activity involved.5. Pros. Looks, adaptability, comfort, confident riding engine pull acceleration responsiveness etc.Cons. Mileage.... Its question i am still not sure on mileage i think even though the company offers 56 atleast i getting less than 40kmpl.. May will do better after say 2500km. Then the fuel indicator either the bouy in tank is set too high from bottom or sump is deep either way it will not indicate anything upto 3litres. Rating 3.5 /5.

Background:I think i'm eligible to write a review considering having used a yamaha fascino, honda activa and a chetak early in my teenhood. I selected fascino in 2018 considering the below:Handling: best in the segment in my pov. It gives you a perfect urban ride comfort with a safe turning radius and well-positioned handle bar. Women would love handling this over others scooters. I originally bought this for my sister, later owned myself. This performs better than access and activa in this area.Design: again, best looking amongst other top players in this segment. Activa stagnated with years old design, access stuck in middle of it's effort between a modern scooter and an old chetak-likes. It bridges both retro and modern design trends.Performance: it has the best pick-up in this segment. While the power output is in par with activa practically, yamaha engine flexes from low range to long range commutes and restores the essence and you'll feel this when start the next day morning. So, who does this scooter satisfy?1. One who wanted to rev in highway and navigate elegantly within streets equally.2. One for whom engine sound matters - you'll love the sound in the mid-range speed. Why shouldn't you go for this:1. Least mileage in the segment 2. Less feature loaded.

The yamaha fascino comes in a range of attractive colours . This with the retro meets modern design approach making it an interesting proposition for those looking for something unique in the segment. Yamaha fascino is priced quite attractively around rs 68,000 on road gorakhpur - making it a lot more affordable, efficient and dependable proposition. It's average is also great & much more comfortable than other scooters i have ridden before.

Bought in november 2018- 113cc carburator engine with grey colour scheme. Easy to move in tight lanes, market traffic, parking lot -due to light weight of scooter (103kg with full tank fuel). In city fuel economy is 40+ kmpl - fuel efficiency improves if ridden for longer duration with low throttle input and less braking at 40 to 50kmph-- 60 kmpl (personally experienced during solo rides to mahe, mattanur airport, kavvayi backwater with medium traffic.)I have managed to reach company claimed 66kmpl+ and better during late night or early morning solo riding with no traffic - but again you have to ride with partial throttle at 40 to 50 kmph speed with less braking.Same chassis frame as yamaha ray + telescopic front suspension + light weight= good handling. The centre of gravity is low- easy to lean scooter in at 40 to 50 kmph speed in curved roads. The scooter has drum brakes and 10 inch wheels front and rear- easy on pocket for maintenance. At first service of 3months/1000kms whichever is early- engine oil(rs 260) and gear oil(rs 50) changed. Currently scooter completed 5th free labour service at 6000 kms on 3rd jan 2020- 2nd engine oil change cost rs 260/- only.No mechanical or electronic complaints.Cons- 1) this scooter has low ground clearance which scrapes central stand in big potholes or huge speed bumps. 2) fuel guage shows empty even if 2.2 litres remaining in tank. (incorrect fuel guage is an issue in all fascino scooters) total capacity of fuel tank is 5.2 litres. 3) (maximum load scooter can take = 130 kg) with 2 heavy passengers riding- handling changes, acceleration decreases, fuel economy becomes low, rear suspension bootoms out-- this scooter is for solo riders only. Hero maestro, suzuki access, honda activa are better family scooters.

Performance is also okay..Mileage around 50..And its body panels are of poor quality...Very low quality fiber...It gets destroyed completely upon slightest hit also.

Yamaha Fascino vs Hero Maestro Edge: Comparison Test

Yamaha Fascino vs Hero Maestro Edge: Comparison Test

25 July 2016
Ranjan R. Bhat

As much as I would love to strut around on a Vespa, the sky-high pricing makes it an absurd proposition for people like me. The Yamaha Fascino on the other hand, offers similar perks for a lot less. But once you put its ‘lifestyle vehicle’ tag aside, is the Fascino capable...
