About Renegade Duty S
The Renegade series of motorcycles was conceived by UM to compete with the other touring/cruiser motorcycles in the price range. The ‘Duty’ series is the more affordable series. At its heart lies a 223cc oil-cooled single cylinder engine that generates 16.8bhp and 17Nm. It opts for a five-speed gearbox. Suspension comprises of 41mm front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Fork-mounted LED lights are also present on the Duty series, similar to the ones found on the Renegade Sport S. The instrument cluster follows a minimalistic design, with the odometer bring a digital component. ABS isn’t available at this point of time but the company says that it will be made available at some point.
The Renegade Duty S is the more traditional of the Duty twins, thanks to its design. It still is very much a city cruiser, but it will certainly have a wider appeal than the Duty Ace, and it look particularly fetching in matte olive green. It will compete with the Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and Suzuki Intruder.
