I bought tvs raider on 7th january 2022. I am pretty impressed with this bike. First of all it does not look or feel like a 125 cc bike. It looks and feels like a 150 or 160cc bike. The exhaust note is absolutely amazing. It sounds so good. The headlight looks futuristic. My favorite thing about raider is its instrument cluster which is probably the best looking instrument cluster for any bike under 1,5 lakhs.
The ride quality is good. I did not go too fast as it is a new bike but you can feel a little vibrations in higher rpms. It is very mild though. The suspension is good enough as long as you don't go off road. The bike is very light and flickable. It is so much fun to ride and you can do cornering with confidence,
Some people complain about the lack of engine kill switch, kick start and chain cover but i dot feel the need for any of this. Chain cover might be good for protection of chain but other two are not necessary. If you are in your 20s or 30s and are looking for a good looking motorcycle with great mileage and exhaust sound, tvs raider should definitely be your choice.

In 125cc segment this is one of best bike I think price vise, power, features(charging socket, under seat space, fully loaded instrumental, innovative cooling system, tvs Intelligo) & best thing is seat height 780 mm even short people can ride easily, lighter in weight 123kg is good thing. Tvs is always concentrating on build quality too.

  • Stylish but efficient.

    Akshaya Ashish

I was planning to buy a fuel efficient commuter for city riding and watched some reviews and performance tests videos of different bikes on social media platforms. Tvs raider 125 got my full attention there and i decided to buy it. Black colour got available after two days of booking.
I am used to ride Bajaj pulsar and the riding experience of raider is almost same except having better ground clearance which gives the confidence of riding on rough roads and irritating speed breakers of streets.
Looks and appearance of this bike is very appealing as i mentioned earlier, although it depends upon individuals. Thus tvs is promoting raider 125 with a tag "wicked" but in my opinion it's wild headlamp and muscular sporty fuel tank give it feel of a premium naked bike. Lesser weight
Of vehicle maintains better power to weight ratio which gives it quicker pick up, higher top speed and more mileage than other competitors of this segment. Digital meter console with connectivity and voice assistance is first in the segment. Riding posture is comfortable. Kick start is missing but not an issue. Clutches and brakes are decent. Riding 20-30 kms daily in city traffic is my daily routine and raider handles it effectively and efficiently without giving tiredness and harassment. I have never tried it yet for touring, will update soon.
It's a newly launched bike. I wish i could get proper service and maintenance in my city.
    Pros:
    1) Sporty look.
    2) Premium features.
    3) Thrilling pick up and speed.
    4) mileage is usp.
    Cons:
    1) Personally I don't like split seats.
    Final verdict : for ₹ 1 lakh it's a great deal.

    Hemanth Kumar

Now moving on to the bike, see there's no doubt that tvs makes one of the good looking bikes in every aspect and indeed it is damn beautiful bike and one of the best looking bike in 125cc segment.
Now since its completely based on tvs Ntorq engine with some mods here and there in order to gain a bit more power. So there's no doubt its a good punchy machine in the lower end and can give a good 90 km/h-100km/h top speed which is enough for 125cc segment.
Now I am not going to be talking about the technical things. But yes everything is based on ECU. Ride modes are there which is kinda okayish for just 125cc segment ( it's done only to attract audience). Now the instrument cluster is pretty badass here. Dozens of info are there 3 trip meter, fuel efficiency and many much more which is one hell of a job done by tvs. Even tvs is saying that they are going to offer the instrument cluster which supports bluetooth connectivity and navigation system as well in its future models.
They are also offering disc brakes which i would say is ok for good stopping power but not needed. But yes it's also done in order to attract audience. Again in here abs was needed and tvs could have given it for sure but yes since its going be placed under “commuter” segment and tvs wants to attract mass of audience so in order to tackle this, they didn't include abs in rider for some cost cutting. But yes combi braking system will be constant there.
It sounds good as if I have heard on the yt videos till now.
Now tyres will be pathetic for sure. Tvs remoras are worst despite of their longevity. They will last for 30k kms but don't expect grips from such tyres. It's a massive issue in all the tvs bikes except apache rr310, and 2004v.
Now one more thing i would like to add here as the bike is completely based on ecu module now, there's no way we can do anything in it manually. Like if there's some problem, we have to go to the service center and get it checked with the obd module which is kinda irritating once you have a problem.
Seating posture is a little bit aggressive than a normal commuter in order to make the rider feel that he/she is riding a big bike but you know
Overall it's going to be a good bike in a commuter 125cc segment and yes it will be good buy for anyone who does work with it on daily basis..
So yes at the end, based on views and various videos and from personal point of view. It's going to be good buy bike for daily purposes.

  • Fabulous design with smooth ride engine provinding 3valve in bs6 125cc

I was using suzuki gixxer sf 150cc bike since 4 years & now I changed over to new red color rider 125cc which is fabulous in design & looks. Also I would like to thank TVS R&D people for understanding customers requirements & implementing it with latest bs6 3 valve engine which i find most economical for good mileage in sports segment bike with eco & power modes. I mostly like its
    1) front led lights which has good visibility at night riding.
    2) It has been provided with usb charging port for long riders.
    3) one of the best sound of engine i have heard till date in 125cc.
    4) it is provided with more ground clearance then Honda, suzuki with split seat option for mobile & valet storage.
    5) Smooth riding experience without jerk & feels comfortable for back seat person while riding due to monoquoqe suspension.

  • Tvs raider a thrill to experience

    Shashi Kant Dubey

I purchased this bike all of a sudden as I was returning from a meeting. I asked the dealer for the availability of tvs raider. He replied in the affirmative. And within an hour the bike was delivered to me.
I was fully satisfied with its riding condition and enjoy it fully with this bike. Even my son at age 20 also loves it too much. Their friends appreciated having such a nice bike.
Look wise it's amazing and sets a trend for others to follow. It is so stylish that everyone wants to see it once again carefully. Blaze blue colour is so magical. Different types of features available in this bike also put it ahead of all.
Performance and pickup are very good. The only problem is its o2 sensor. That has created a problem for me for approx. 4.5 months. Although it is changed the problem of low mileage is still continued and unresolved.
Servicing is easy and maintenance cost is cheap in comparison to other peers.
I have found 95 percent pros but the only con is mileage. It is fluctuating between 47 to 55 although my bike has traveled more than 4000 km in 6 months approximately.
I wish tvs motor to solve this issue for better experience and satisfaction of the rider.

  • Best bike of 2023

    TVS Raider Review:
    1. Buying Experience:
The TVS Raider, with its ex-showroom price ranging from Rs. 86,803 to Rs. 1.03 lakh (Delhi), offers a competitive price point for those looking for a 125cc bike. It's available in five variants, providing options to cater to different preferences and budgets. The affordability of the Raider makes it an enticing choice for budget-conscious buyers.
    2. Riding Experience:
This bike is powered by a 124.8 cc air-cooled engine, which delivers a respectable 11.38 PS of power at 7500 rpm. Notably, it's the only 125cc bike with riding modes, adding to the riding experience. The Raider promises peppy performance and a throaty exhaust note, making it an attractive option for those who enjoy spirited rides.
    3. Details about Looks and Performance:
The TVS Raider stands out with a loaded instrument console, which is a notable feature in its segment. The sleek and stylish design of the bike adds to its appeal. It offers a claimed mileage of 67 kmpl, which is a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
    4. Servicing and Maintenance:
Information about servicing and maintenance costs would require real-world user feedback and data, which may vary by location and riding conditions. TVS generally has a widespread service network, which can be an advantage in terms of maintenance.
    5. Pros and Cons:
Pros of the TVS Raider include its competitive pricing, the availability of riding modes, and its peppy performance. On the downside, it's essential to consider potential cons, such as maintenance costs, availability of spare parts, and any specific issues reported by users.
In conclusion, the TVS Raider seems to offer a compelling package in the 125cc segment with its attractive features, pricing, and performance. However, it's crucial for potential buyers to consider their specific needs and budget while making a decision.

  • Overall review

    Harshal Rohamare

    Rohit Kale
