TVS Motors has stopped selling the Phoenix in the Indian market. With this move, the company no longer has a product in the lucrative 125cc commuter motorcycle segment.

TVS Motor Company has reported a seven per cent increase in their May sales. The company sold 1,97,451 units in May 2015 as compared to 2,10,843 units in the same month last year.

In a bid to revive their sales numbers and a much needed update for their only 125cc motorcycle, the Phoenix, TVS Motors launched a revised model of the bike. This is the 2015 iteration and is priced at Rs 51,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Now, it seems that the same idea has crept into the minds of the guys at TVS motors, as a similar off-road motorcycle based on the Phoenix 125 has been spotted testing in India. 

After a long time, we have managed to see a TVS bike being tested in the country. The camouflaged bike was being tested on the Chennai-Bangalore highway, which carries many design cues from the Phoenix 125cc.

TVS Motors has reported 1.5 per cent decrease in their two-wheeler sales in August. The company sold 1,48,469 units in August as compared to 1,50,740 units in the same month last year.

TVS Motor Company has reported a decline in their two-wheeler sales by 7.1 per cent. The company managed to sell 1,46,671 two-wheelers in July 2013 as compared to 1,57,954 in the corresponding month in 2012.
