Riding experience is really very good. The acceleration of this scooter is far better than many petrol bikes and it looks very good, it can range upto around 90 km in real world which is good in this price range. The after-sales service given by TVS was also too good and overall the scooter is the best in this range

the real range of TVS orbiter
Karnan
I've been using the TVS Orbiter for some time now, and overall, it's a good electric scooter for city commuting. The claimed IDC range is 150 km, but in my real-world usage, I'm getting around 120 km per charge, which is still quite decent for daily city rides. The ride quality and visibility are good, and the headlight performance is average to good for night riding. The service experience has been average so far. One thing to note is that the scooter feels best at city speeds. It can reach around 60–65 km/h, but beyond that, it doesn't feel very stable, so it's not ideal for frequent highway cruising. If your primary use is city commuting and you're looking for a practical electric scooter with good range rather than high speed or performance, the TVS Orbiter is worth considering.

2,800 km Review of the TVS Orbitor
Chandramohan R
Buying & Ownership ExperienceI purchased my TVS Orbitor in February 2026 and have ridden it for about 2,800 km so far. It has become my primary daily commuter for city traffic.Range and Battery Performance (Excellent)The battery performance is definitely the highlight of this scooter:Average Range: It consistently delivers approximately 100 km per charge under normal driving conditions.Real-world Test: On a single continuous stretch, I managed to drive 80 km, and the battery still had 23% charge left, which easily proves it can cross the 100 km mark comfortably.Performance & SpeedThe pickup is decent and responsive in both available riding modes. The main difference between them is just the top speed ceiling:Eco Mode: Top speed maxes out at 47 km/h. Perfect for bumper-to-bumper traffic.City Mode: Top speed goes up to 68 km/h, which is plenty for city flyovers and open stretches.Cons / Areas for ImprovementPulling Power in Tricky Situations: The pulling power feels a bit shaggy/sluggish under specific conditions. If you get stuck in traffic and the tyre gets trapped in a pothole, the initial torque struggles a bit to pull the vehicle out cleanly.VerdictIf you are looking for a reliable electric scooter with a highly accurate range and decent city speeds, the TVS Orbitor is a great choice. Just be a little mindful when navigating deeper potholes during heavy traffic.

False claims by the company

I bought this vehicle by the reviews and claims of 158 km IDC range thought I will get at least 100 km. But actual range on road is just 65 km in economy. Manufacturer needs to improve consumption by giving an option to switch off the headlights during daytime. Also the outlet where I bought the vehicle is not much active and lazy. I faced issues while collecting bike as well as when my number plate arrived. No improvements even after complaining and raising consumer grievance.

I just bought Orbiter some days back, the experience is very good in terms of comfort, while driving is very good, it's worth the money buying it. Space for keeping things is very nice under the seat, one person can sit behind easily, the length of the seat is good, there is a space to keep the mobile also near the handle, which is very good, enough space for the legs while driving.

TVS Orbiter Standard

Riding an electric vehicle (EV) like the EV Orbit is a unique and refreshing experience compared to conventional fuel-based vehicles. The very first impression comes from the silent ignition — as soon as you power it on, there is no engine noise or vibration, only a smooth readiness to move. This silence gives a sense of modern technology and sustainability, making the rider feel connected with the future of mobility. The acceleration is instant and smooth, thanks to the electric motor’s torque delivery. Unlike petrol vehicles, where the engine needs to build up power, the EV Orbit responds immediately as soon as the throttle is pressed. This makes city commuting effortless, especially in traffic where frequent starts and stops are common.Another major aspect of the riding experience is the comfort and handling. Since the EV Orbit is designed with lightweight batteries and a balanced frame, it feels stable even at higher speeds. The absence of gear shifting makes the ride easy for beginners as well as experienced riders. One just has to twist the throttle and enjoy the ride without worrying about the clutch or gears. From a practical perspective, the cost-effectiveness is also part of the riding experience. Knowing that every kilometer you ride costs only a fraction compared to petrol gives a sense of satisfaction and eco-friendliness. Charging at home or in public charging stations feels convenient and futuristic.Overall, riding the EV Orbit is not only about reaching from one place to another, but also about experiencing sustainability, comfort, and innovation in daily life. It provides a glimpse of how future mobility will look — cleaner, smarter, and rider-friendly.
