  • Proud Owner of Ntorq 125, lovingly nicknamed "Dhanno,"

    Sahil Singh Bisht

Hi I'm Sahil Singh Bisht, and I've been the proud owner of an Ntorq 125, lovingly nicknamed "Dhanno," for the past two years. It holds a special place for me and my family as our first vehicle purchased from my hard-earned savings.
My excitement during the purchase was well justified as this scooter surpassed my expectations. Its standout features, the impressive exhaust sound, and its robust, eye-catching design truly made the experience worthwhile. The Ntorq 125's performance, with its power-packed engine, has been outstanding, setting it apart in its segment.
Maintaining and servicing the Ntorq 125 has been on par with other scooters in terms of cost, which is definitely a plus point.
Let me break down the pros and cons based on my experience:
    **Pros:**
    - **Power and Performance:** Among the best in its class.
    - **Attractive Design:** Its bold appearance is a real head-turner.
    - **Distinctive Exhaust Sound:** A feature that adds to its appeal.
    - **X-Connectivity Feature:** A technological advantage that enhances the riding experience.
    - **Alloy Wheels with Broad Tires:** A great addition for stability and aesthetics.
    **Cons:**
    - **Key-Operated Petrol Lid and Boot:** Minor inconvenience in terms of functionality.
    - **Rear Brake Issues:** Some concerns with the brake's performance.
    - **Lower Mileage:** Expected higher efficiency considering the power.
    - **Limited Boot Space:** A bit small for carrying additional items.
    - **Loose Rear Tyre Inner Mud Cover:** A maintenance concern that needs attention.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the Ntorq 125 to anyone seeking a powerful and performance-oriented scooter. However, do consider the mentioned drawbacks before making your decision.

I bought it 2 years back. Overall buying experience was good.
Ride it for 7600 kms in 2 years.
First of all I would like to give 10/10 for the design of the scooter. Even now Japanese manufacturer also copied the design on their scooter. It is the design which will never outdated.
Performance of the scooter is unbeatable in its segment till date. If you ride it for 7 days continuously you feel bit of lacking on riding other scooters. But there is a drawback of that performance too. I will tell you later about this.
Riding quality is a bit concern of the Ntorq 125. Suspension is on softer side. But at the same time you feel back pain after continuous riding for 1-1.5 hrs. There is ample of vibration on its handlebar and foot board. I owned bs4 model, but bs6 also has vibration problem. Highway performance is good. You never feel nervous on high speed. I would not recommend this scooter to elderly people.
Some others useful segment first features like engine kill switch, hazard light, fully digital instrument cluster with bluetooth connectivity etc. make it different from its competitors.
    Now discuss some negative points,
As I have already told earlier that unmatched performance create a big concern. That is more fuel consumption means low fuel economy. On bs6 model you will get 40-43 km/l. If you ride smoothly then you can make the figure 50, but don't expect more than that.
Another drawback of Ntorq is the headlight of base or standard model (not in race edition having led headlight). The throw of the halogen bulb is pathetic in the dark situation.
So, hopefully I cover all the points. Hope this will help you. Thanks....

  • TVS NTorq - Fun scooter for city commute

    Sandeep Kenkare

Owning a TVS vehicle was not new for us. We already had a TVS Jupiter for the past 8 years. Looking at the reliability and ease of service, we thought of adding another one as one scooter was not enough for our family. When we decided to buy another scooter, we considered the Access 125, Activa 125, and Jupiter 125. By the way, we did not even consider NTorq in our list. We went to 3 Suzuki showrooms and none had an Access 125 to test ride so we chucked it. Honda showroom executives acted as if they were giving the vehicles for free by throwing attitude at us. Also, our previous experience with Honda service was also not good and hence we chucked the Activa option too. Then we went to the TVS showroom and saw a drastic change in the behavior of sales executives. They were very kind, and polite and talked to us and understood what kind of vehicle we were looking to buy and what our commuting needs were. They arranged for a test ride immediately and we were pretty much bought when we took out Jupiter 125 for a test ride. However, they gave us an option to test ride the NTorq also and my wife was ( for the first time ever ) eager to test ride it. She did a test ride with it and she was overwhelmed with the performance. She did not even think twice to say yes to the vehicle.
We then looked for an auspicious date and booked the vehicle. We were promised to get the delivery of the scooter the very next day, but we opted to get it after a couple of days. They were prompt in delivery and ready with all the documents and vehicle when we reached the showroom. We were excited and finished the formalities to take the delivery. We then opened the seat to put in the tool kit and medical kit. We were SHOCKED to know that the full-face helmet could not fit. This was very disappointing, however, we had paid in full and registration also was done, so no turning back now. This was the only disadvantage of the scooter. If I have to add to the list, then the pillion seat is a bit narrow and small. I am 6 ft and my wife is 5'6" so it's not that great of a comfort when we both travel together. But it's not uncomfortable too. It just meets expectations. Other than that it's all positive about the scooter.
The scooter is an absolute fun machine to ride in the city. Especially through traffic, it is very easy to navigate. Balance is perfect and suspension is good for both bad road and smooth roads. There are two riding modes, Street and Race. You really feel the rush of power in the Race mode compared to Street mode. However, there will be a drop in mileage when you rip in Race mode. The tires have a lot of grip and the brakes work well. However, when you come from riding a bike ( 200cc + ), you feel it is comfortable but lacks speed as it reaches about 95-96kmph. However, the acceleration is very good for city rides.
To conclude, the scooter is very good for city commutes and always brings a smile when you ride it. You cannot go wrong with the decision to buy this scooter if you need a fun-to-ride scooter for max 2 people. If you had to shuttle 2 kids to school or one kid with both parents, then it might be a snug fit to sit on the scooter. Maybe you should consider Jupiter 125 for those scenarios. But for 2 adults, this is one of the best scooters.

Sometimes the side stand sensor doesnt work. It may need a replacement and TVS does it for free under warranty.

  • Sensor headache from prestigious tvs stable!

    Mohammed Abdulkhader

Totally embarrassed with ntorq performance. What the heck? This new tvs ntorq 125 cannot be used.
The problem is a sensor linked withstand. Even if it is removed, this devil still creates problems.
I never believed tvs will come with such nonsense things and give so much trouble to riders.
Maintenance people in tvs fixed it. When I reached home, the problem re-appear. I curse myself for buying ntorq.
Very stupid and blunder idea of putting a sensor. Gaadi ki gaand mein sensor lagaye. Stupid people.

  • 5000 km - long term review

    Sivasankar M

Tvs ntorq 125 was chosen as the "scooter of the year" by the experts recently. So, should i need to say more? i think i should. Why? simply because i own one and i was adamant on writing a review when i hit the 5000km mark. Fyi, this review is strictly personal and i only wrote what i felt about my ntorq. Okay lets start. 1. Buying experience I am a native of kerala and bought the ntorq from a showroom in alappuzha district. The buying experience was nice. No complaints because the staffs were very polite and helpful. I chose the metallic red edition because for me it was the best among the other available options. I got it delivered a fews days later. During the time of delivery, the staff explained to me about the scooter and the long list of features it had. Glove box and floor mat were bought as accessories(also available online). I was a bit skeptical about installing a glove box because usually these additions looks like a misfit to the whole design of the vehicle. But let me tell you something, for me, this is the best looking glove box you can get for a scooter in india. It doesn't feel like a misfit at all and it just looks like the pecs of the iron man. Designers, love you 3000.2. Riding experience One word: exhilarating. Other word: smooth. You'll feel it right from the moment you turn your wrist. A bit of vibrations are normal at lower speeds. But as you go up, the vibrations just disappear and the ntorq shows what its capable of. Overtaking is also a thing of beauty. The sweet sound of the exhaust helps to push even harder. The breaks does the job well. In my 5000km ride, i never had a scare moment due to locked breaks. Touch-wood. Suspension is bit on the stiffer side but doesn't hurt the spine. Long rides to the high ranges like munnar were handled pretty good. Well, every people who are planning to buy a scooter will have this doubt in their minds, "can it take us to ladakh?". I've never been to ladakh on my ntorq. But i've read an article on sunday supplement of a malayalam newspaper(malayala manorama or mathrubhumi), a fews months back. The news was that, two girls rode all the way from kerala to ladakh on their ntorqs. And they never faced an issue whatsoever(which was specifically mention in the article). You will find it if you search for it. Yes, ntorq can take you to ladakh, if you find a way to refuel it every 200kms. 3. Design and performance. The best design for a scooter in india? i think so. The sharp edges and neatly put together panels are a real eye catcher. The riding position is just perfect for all kinds of riders. I'm 5'7" and i can flatfoot fairly. So both taller and shorter riders could manage well. The handlebar is wide enough for long rides. The fat tyres complements the muscular design neatly. The lights are good enough. The drl upfront is very bright. The led tail lamp also looks fantastic. The instrument cluster for a two wheeler at this price range, to be frank, is out of the world. Tbh, i dont even know how many people will use all these features like gps navigation and last parked location on daily basis. But for those who use it, these are very handy. The instrument cluster could be connected with the tvs app using bluetooth. Talking about the performance, the ntorq can reach 0-60 kmph in around 5 seconds which is great for a 125 cc scooter. I find the soft spot is between 65-75 kmph. You can ride all day, in that range, if you are on a straight low traffic highway. No vibrations, low windblast. Plush! top speed of over 95 kmph can be easily achieved if its revved hard. I see a lot of people complaining about the low mileage of the ntorq. I too had that complaint. I got just around 30 kmpl initially. But after the first service, the mileage got improved drastically and since then i am constantly getting around 35-40 kmpl despite frequent hard revving. I personally think if people care more about mileage and less about everything else, they should stick with other less powerful options.4. Servicing and maintenance. My ntorq had 3 services so far. As i said above the mileage increased after first service. No issues with the servicing. It went well. I had this cold start issue and when i told the service guys about it, they told me to keep the scooter away from moist areas and keep it covered. I've done just that and now its okay. 5. Pros and cons: I would've placed the lack of led headlamps and hazard lights in the cons , but as tvs launched the fully equipped ntorq race edition, it doesn't matter. Pros - Great looks Smooth performance Long list of features Sweet exhaust note Good ergonomics Cons - Cold start issues Low mileage compared to other scooters in this price range. I certainly think tvs ntorq 125 is the best 'value for money' scooter you can buy in India. If you are planning to buy a scooter and mileage is not your primary concern, go for it without a second thought. You wont be disappointed. At all.

Totally embarrassed with ntorq performance. What the heck? This new tvs ntorq 125 cannot be used.
The problem is a sensor linked withstand. Even if it is removed, this devil still creates problems.

At all.

  • Beauty with Power...

    Ujjwal Sarma

At all.

  • Beauty with Power...

    Ujjwal Sarma

I have bought this beautiful thing from delta tvs akola. The seller was too interested in this model.I asked for a test drive and i loved its pickup at the first. Then its looks doesn't need to be expressed. Also service centres themselves call for servicing in the period.Pros:=1:=its great pickup 2:=its stunning looks 3:=its total valuable pricing 4:=service centres support 5:=rough and tough model Cons:=1:= not a single one i can mention.
