  • Ntorq new with annoying issues

    Senthil

Bought tvs ntorq a month back. Too many issues to report. 1. The petrol was leaking when taking delivery from the dealer. 2. The bike was delivered after 2 and a half months after payment. The dealer keep saying the colour grey was not available for delivery for so long from factory. He was using my money for so long. By the time of delivery the price was changed and i was forced to rs 1500 more, since the price is more at the time of delivery. 3. After riding the new bike for 150 kms, the silencer started making irritating noise. The dealer tried 3 times to fix it and he could not do. He damaged the screws, put the silencer guard upside down once. I am wondering what kind of experience they have..The could not even locate the cause. By the time i completed 450 kms, bearing the irritating noise. Then went to a biggest distributor in the coimbatore city. He made me to take up the first service in advance, saying he will fix the silencer issue. After 2 days, he charged me rs. 300/- and delivered the bike with same noise. After complaining again, the service expert put a extra washer on top of the existing one and said he fixed it. I test drive again and observed the same noise. Refused to take delivery and left the bike in the service centre. Ar the time of writing this, the issue is still exists. I was even ready to pay for the new silencer. But the issue has to be fixed to my satisfaction. I am tired of running behind these experts to fix a simple issue. Hope tvs will test and release it with proper fix. Tired and annoying. 4. Front left bumper was leaking 5. Observed fan noise after stopping the engine few times. They have a plastic fan to cool... 5. The silencer guard was covered with a plastic sheet at the time of delivery. I did not notice it and drove for 5 kms. The plastic started melting and i stopped and found that. Overall the experience is worst..

  • Mileage of ntorq addressed finally!

    Arpit

So i am writing this review about tvs ntorq after a month of usage and 520kms run 1. Buying experience with ntorq was good but not excellent as i was one of the first customers in pune there were few issues that i had to face. But considering it's newly launched its acceptable. 2. Riding experience of ntorq is absolutely amazing!! best in class. It's really very stiff and balanced unlike aprilia it's more towards balanced side. So you won't feel those potholes up your spine. I have been riding it on worst possible roads. Also since the scooty is on heavier side i won't suggest it for mixed usage like if your mom is also going to use it. 3. I won't be going into details about looks because you need to see it for yourself to believe how great it looks(favourable for younger crowd). Now the most important part performance : it's absolutely amazing! you can get in depth info on youtube. So i'll be just addressing mileage. Since i have rode it for 520 kms i have a good idea about its mileage. All those who are worried about it's mileage please do not. Considering the performance it gives the mileage of ntorq is pretty good. I achieved mileage of 47km and 52.3km. For the first test i had filled a litre of petrol and rode it until the scooty came back to reserve fuel mode for which i achieved 47kmpl. Next i filled 3.88 ltrs and rode the scooty till it was back to reserve fuel mode i drove for 20kms which gives me a figure of 52.3kmpl. After this i continued riding until the reserve was empty. In reserve trip mode i achieved 54kms even after console showed fuel empty (this is really confusing! i don't know if there is issue with odometer or reserve of this scooty is big)Ps: drove below 50-55 all the time i. E in eco mode 4. I'll be giving ntorq for service upon reaching 750kms. Upon which mileage might get more better. 5. Pros: great aesthetics handling,
acceleration, features (digital instrument panel), good mileage cons : braking could have been better, disc brake is absolutely great but rear drum lacks a bit. Also no combi braking. facing some issues with odometer cause of which i feel fuel indication is faulty Storage is good but won't fit a full size helmet though!

My tvs ntorq which purchase on 05/05/2019 has starting problem...After running for few km the engine stops immediately and the scooty won't start despite repeated attempt are made to start the engine...The fuel and the battery are all ok...Still the engine fails to respond. Which is dangerous on live on road riding (death attempt). It's manufacturing failure?

  • A great scooter for the money

    James

Buying experience not so friendly. Dealer didn't seem interested in selling the ntorq. When asked if blue was available he said at least 1 month waiting but red was available. So i took the red as it would have been toss-up between blue and red. Riding experience is the best so far considering that i have owned a 2015 fascino and 2018 honda activia 125. I rode the activa for 3 months and it was in and out of the dealership for a long list of issues. I sold it soon as the carburettor was replaced on my last visit. I took the money and bought the ntorq. The looks are impressive and the digitised display is nice but not sure if the sports or street mode will be a useful feature for me. It would make more sense if selecting a mode caused the engine and suspension to change. Now that would be better. A comfort mode and sports mode where the throttle and suspension changed as per our choice. The ride comfort and handling is what i liked most about the ntorq. It's not stiff and not too soft it's seems be be setup well for our world class leading roads. Acceleration with me on board (55kg) got me from zero to 60kmph quickly. But with me and my friend who is maybe guessing 70kg on board it took a little effort as it got to 60kmph but afterwards the engine did its job maintaining speed nicely. Loved the low end growl from the muffler at between idle and 20kmph but pull back harder and that beautiful sound turns into a strange strained noise which sounds similar to any other scooter in the indian market. I haven't had it long enough to service it but the delivery and 1st 200km seems to have gone without a hitch. The only gripe i have is the instruction Manuel has no instructions on how to operate the centre console. Strange consider that this feature was a major selling point on the ntorq. Long story short, i think tvs has come a long way with this scooter. The fit and finish are top notch and on several fronts better than their japanese and italian rivals. I am proud to see an Indian company building such world class products for the Indian market.

  • Honest pros and cons

    Chandan Kumar

I bought ntorq in april 2018. Well the features of ntorq make it the best buy, but few issues are also there which needs to be addressed. I will classify my review in two segments. 1. Cons 2. Pros Cons 1. Mileage - at the time of purchase dealer claimed a mileage of 47 km. But currently my bike is giving 32 to 35 km per liter. My friend who bought ntorq is also having the same mileage. My bike has run 5000+ kms. I am a sales professional and i start and shut engine frequently. 2. Paint or color - in order to park my bike inside my home my bike got few scratches but every scratch is flashing the metal. I mean the paint coat is so thin that after scratch the metal which is inside is clearly visible. 3. Vibration - unlike the rivals grazia and burgman, ntorq has more vibration while riding which make it shaky while riding. Though the ride is smooth but not smoother as compared to arch rivals. Pros 1. Roadgrip and handling - off course ntorq has larger tyres as compared to rivals. Which provides good roadgrip and stability. 2. Comfort - the suspension is good which makes you feel comfortable during jerks. Pot holes don't hurt your spine much. 3. Acceleration - acceleration is excellent you can experience sudden pickup when you ride it. 4. Safety - solid brakes supported by large tyres and stable chassis makes your ride safer and stable. Full marks for safety. 5. Digital features - bluetooth connectivity gps navigation and mobile charging ports definitely gives you an edge while you're riding. 6. Fuel inlet - fuel inlet which is present above the tail light gives you more flexibility. You can fuel up while sitting. 7. Looks and color - i feel the best looking scooter in the segment with more colors to choose. Buying experience was good service experience is also good. So for after riding 5000 kms, i spent only for engine oil. Other maintenance cost is zero.

  • Amazing piece of art.

    Divyam

When i saw the concept of ntorq i was just wow.... First of all it was a hassle free paper work. I got my delivery in just 2 days. I was very happy at first because when i was riding this acidity it made heads turn.....Initially the mileage was around 40kmpl and the shockers were little hard but after several times of usage the mileage is increasing gradually and the shockers are also working fine now....It has some minor defects in navigation which can be improved via app updates... And the under seat storage is just amazing so much space...And the under seat led light is very very useful.... My overall experience is very good and i would like to suggest it to you all read this review.

  • Excellent scooter with an excellent problem

    Karthik

Tvs ntorq buying experience was very good. Looks and performance of the scooter is outstanding. This scooter will put a smile on your face every time you take it out. Everything was fine until few months after delivery. Around 2 months after delivery the petrol started leaking from the drain pipe. More than half tank leaked out in 2 to 3 hours when the scooter was in off condition (petrol comes out while riding also). I checked online if there were any previous problems reported. To my surprise there were many ntorq fuel leakage problems. I went to tvs showroom (nandi motors, hinkal, mysore) the next day and reported the issue. They took the vehicle and returned after 15 mins saying that some pipe was loose. Then petrol stopped leaking for around 3 weeks and started leaking again. Went to the same tvs service center again. But they were not able to identify the issue, they reconnected the petrol lines and gave the scooter to me. Petrol started leaking again as soon as i reached home. I am really regretting now for the mistake i made by purchasing this scooter. There is some issue which these service centers are not able to identify. Tvs should look into this at the earliest.

    Mahesh

Dear,I bought this bike 3 months before, and face a different kind of issue,1- petrol leaking when driving, they fixed it but the first week had a bad experience.2- bike note starting 2 times within 3 months. Once i ask the dealer they told us that most of the customer told them the same issue and have some problem with this bike .I will suggest people to avoid buying this bike.

  • Immediately stop on live on road
