The TVS Apache RTX marks TVS's first serious attempt at the adventure motorcycle segment, going up directly against the KTM 250 Adventure. A freshly developed 299cc liquid-cooled single makes 36bhp and 28.5Nm through a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch, while a bi-directional quickshifter and ride-by-wire throttle bring genuine performance-bike tech into an ADV package. A steel trellis frame, 41mm USD forks and a 5-inch TFT with full navigation complete a genuinely ambitious debut for the brand.

The Apache RTX 300 now carries waiting periods of 3 months, with bookings made in February only set to be delivered post-June - the wait time is not variant dependent either. This seems to be driven by high demand and limited production capacity.
17 Feb 2026
TVS has unveiled the anniversary black-gold livery for the RTX as well at MotoSoul 2025. Colour update only, no mechanical changes.
5 Dec 2025
TVS has started the deliveries for the Apache RTX 300 in India.

TVS has finally unveiled its first-ever adventure bike, the RTX 300. The concept of this bike was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025.
Design-wise, TVS has done a good job. The RTX 300 is seen with a prominent semi-fairing with a tall windscreen, muscular fuel tank, and a sleek tail section with split seats. Meanwhile, the beak fender enhances the adventure styling. The motorcycle is expected to utilise a steel trellis frame and a separate sub-frame. Suspension duties will be handled by upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
The TVS adventure bike will be powered by a 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine that produces 35bhp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The bike will get a ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, and a traction control system. Other features likely to be offered could be LED lighting, switchable dual-channel ABS, and adjustable suspension as an optional extra.
The road-biased version of the TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be launched in India in mid-2025. However, TVS is also working on an off-road variant with 21/17-inch spoke wheels, likely to follow later in 2025. Once launched, the Apache RTX 300 will rival the KTM 250 Adventure.

The engine delivers crisp acceleration with a strong mid‑range, making overtaking effortless. The throttle response feels refined, and the gearbox shifts smoothly, adding to the overall riding confidence. GREAT Travel motorcycle at a budget
14 weeks ago

Ridden 5000+ Kms, Engine: Ample amount of torque throughout the midrange, always feels swift and quick, no stalling or struggling despite the engine making most torque at 8k rpm.The engine can accelerate this bike pretty quickly, do not compare it with 390s but it is good enough.Suspension: I call it hybrid, it acts smooth and plush on bigger undulations on slow speeds, but as you speed up on tarmac, it becomes stiff, which is good cause it acts like a sportsbike. However, do not again think of it as an offroader, it can do, but the bulk on the tank causes it to be more of a tourer than an offroaderGearbox: A downside of this bike, it's not so smooth; the second gear miss is very often encountered. When cruising in 6 gear for a long time, when you downshift, the transition is gonna feel hard and almost stuck, but not for long. The rest of the gears are issue-free.Features: Everything works beautifully, cruise control, traction control, riding modes; however, I mostly ride in Tour Riding mode, which gives the steepest throttle map on this bike. Rain and Urban modes are lazy, maybe good when you just want to relax and look at surroundings. Fit and Finish: Very Good fit and finish, no complaintsDesign: It draws attention like crazy, everybody would look and ask about it, kids would often say hi and smile too, good feeling!Exhaust: Only thing I do not like about this motorcycle is how it sounds, it's not bassy like other apaches, it's something of a unique and distinguish note which is good in cold, but in summer, the engine clatter is all you hear, always annoying.Service: Yes, it isn't premium. Sometimes, the mechanics wouldn't know much about how things work, but my dealership has been very nice to me, so did the service centre. They fixed my small issues for free and with transparency. Maybe the service will improve over time.Overall ::: GREAT touring bike for what you pay, amazing capability and aesthetic.

It has very impressive performance and good handling plus brakes are amazing. The engine is also smooth, with a good base exhaust. Height and posture of the bike are also good. Plus point, the price point of the bike you won’t get such performance and features in any other bike in this range, so go for it. I suggest you purchase it.
