Reviews of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V

I bought 160 4v on 5th may 2018. Facing problem from very first day. Have run 1000 km so far. 5 times visited arunagiri tv's kalyan nagar. Even wrote to tvs motors. There technician also unable to fix the problem. It seems it's not basic issue, its issue in its design. Problems:1. Both the disc brakes making lot of noise, while applying. Mostly i heard such sound bus and truck break chchchiiinnnn.... So irritating. Service centre they put some oil, first day it's fine, next day it's same problem. They say it's because of rainy season, isn't it so funny. 2. Major problem is with gears. Not at all swift and smooth. I ride every day 60 km, 30km one-way. Hebbel to sarjapur signal in bangalore. In bangalore traffic you can ride at high or low speed at various stretches. Suppose you are at 4 or 5 gear, as traffic stop suddenly , you apply breaks and spread come down to 10 or 20, in single clutch you need to come down to 4-3-2 gear. Many time gear get stuck. Other issue, when at signal you stop , you are at first gear, it does not come back to neutral. Tvs motors expert advice: change gear at half clutch when get stuck. Non sense. Who the hell will change gear at half clutch pressed in bangalore traffic.3. When you ride at 60-70 speed, and due to traffic you apply sudden breaks, engine make spiting , cracker kind of sound, service man told me it's called engine miss fired. What the hell is that.4. It's vibration and sound like helicopter is roaming around. This is common problem in all tvs bikes.5. Don't go by look, as said it's sports bike. Performance bit better than pulsar 150, less than apache 180. Far away from ktm like bike.It's just sport bike by look, not by performance at all. Sport bike need swift and smooth change of gears. And pick up. Also good breaking system , all should be in sync. I have 13 years of experience in bangalore traffic , almost 80000 km riding experience in bangalore. Before buying , i sorted hornet, fs -z , apache 160 4v. As mileage and ground clearance, single seat with more space was good, i choose tv's 1604v. Now i regret my decision of buy this bike. Soon i will get rid of this bike. And go for better one.Good point about bike: handle controlling is good, not heavy like pulsar 180, apache 180. It's good when you ride in less traffic where you don't need to change gear very frequently. Tvs motors people , either they know these problem, don't want to tell customer. Or does not know how to fix them. Suggestion to company. Please get tested your bikes from professional riders take their feedback, rather then your quality engineer team, to get real time feedback.

Very good bike, miles ahead from hornet and yamaha comparatively in every field.Value for money for years. A good resale value in the market. And overall very satisfactory great mileage great comfort in driving and stylish look.Very good pickup and after sell service is very satisfactory. I highly recommend it for everyone.

Extra ordinary very good performance when compared to others look like price wise..But mileage in highways is around 50-52 kms and local itself get 40-43 kms only..Anyway very fun to ride. Ride safely guys.. Live to ride. Its throttle response is outstanding well refined engine.. Exhaust sound is very good..

Initially my bike had starting problem now it is good only. Performance of the bike is good. Mileage is also good, coming to comfort excellent . Riding bike for long drive gives you more pleasure and joy. Due to oil coolant heating issue is comparatively less when compared to fz s v3 and gixxer 155.

One of the good bike at this range....With my experience i can tell its a good bike to choose, riding experience and performance is good.About look it is very attractive with muscular design and the engine performance is optimized while compared to previous versions.Gives 38-40 kmpl which is a good mileage for this range.Pros:Performance is so good Awesome look Good mileage Cons:No abs Brakes are not so efficient.

Hi all, i bought my apache rtr 160 4v some 4 months back. Upto now its very very good. I am pretty much satisfied with my bike.Its cooling look seriously awesome in this price range. Buying experience is quite good. I did not see any such kind of problem in this. I have gone to 100km in one go also with this bike and i did not feel any pain and other thing in my body, it gives us a good body posture and comfort while riding. Lookwise this bike is awesome, the graphics, double barrel silencer give this bike a eye catchy look. Tvs tyres are really awesome while jerk. Shockers also play a good role during spreed breaker. Regarding mileage, my bike is giving in 46-48 km/ltr which i think quite good in this segment. Till 70 km there is no vibrations and after 70 it gives some vibrations but those are obvious. The one thing which i like in this bike most is the sound, sound is really really really awesome. If you are starts this bike after 10 days also, it will start in one self only.There is one minor problem that i face in this bike that while i sit on this bike i feel some noise in the below side of the seat might be because of the fibre body, some minor packing efficiency defects are there.Otherwise is excellent as per me in this price range and 160 segment.You can go for it.

Buying experience is good riding experience is top class there are no vibration the bike fly's away within a sec coming to the looks the bike is attractive with it's muscular body all instrument cluster is very easy to read seats are very comfortable for the rider and for the pillion performance is amazing i feel I am riding a amazing bike mileage i use to get around 45 - 47 kmpl all the quality and the fit and finish is good servicing is good form tvs, pros : engine is very powerful and looks are very attractive this bike can do anything cons they are nothing much to say only the breaks while doing high speed the breaks are not doing a good job

Buying experience is good. Riding this bike is totally gives the feel of sports bike. Seating comfortable is excellent. Looks is damn good and engine performance and power is awesome in 160cc segment. Silencer sound is fascinating. Maintenance is very very low. Red color is furious and gives extra attention to the others. Apna hi swag hai iss bike ka.

braking is not so good i bought dual disc version two disc brakes are making squeaky noise from the second day onward i own this bike for almost 50 days the bike is good after 2 days after its first service that's it from the next day its having problems with self start front and back discs are making that annoying squeaking noise visual appeal and riding smoothness is good but its getting dominated by the problems its having front suspension is also giving problems.
