Daily commuters don't think of this bike . It

Hello I have purchased tvs apache rtr 160 4v fi 3 moths back and i am writing this review after riding the bike around 1500 kms.1. Buying experience 1. Its good i rate 2/5. During the sales tvs company claims 60 kmpl is the mileage and average mileage is around 50 .But you hardly get 35 mileage which could be worst if you are expecting mileage and a daily commuter better don’t buy if not if have to spend a lot only on filling the petrol 2. Riding experience 1.Its good i rate 4/53. Details about looks, performance etc.1.Looks : it has a great look which has convinced me to buy this bike. 2. Performance : i am very much disappointed on the performance of this bike . It has a great engine power but worst mileage. I hardly get 35 mileage which is most worst part of this bike. 4. Servicing and maintenance.During the sales they don’t mention on the servicing and maintenance part but this bike has to be filled with a special synthetic oil which costs around 600 per filling which is double the cost of general oil . 5.Pros and cons 1.Pros : good performance in terms of engine power 2.Cons : worst mileage hardly 35 kmpl and high maintenance than a general bikes in this segment.

A bike with great balance I would say. In a city like Mumbai, it's difficult to deal with traffic, but this bike has been so comfortable. Good control. Suspension is fantastic. On the mileage side, bike has consistently give me 42-45 km/l. In high speed runs too, the performance has been very satisfactory. I would highly recommend this bike. Although, people who are comfortable with heavy bikes should get this as it is a bit on a heavier side compared to it's peers.

I really love the TVS Apache rtr 160 4v bs6 compliant. Back in 2006 my dad had owned a TVS apache rtr 160. He sold it when I was small. I'm 18 and I'm very much interested in bikes. TVS apache is my dream bike. I know all about the bike. I never got a chance to ride the bike. Someday I will ride my dream bike. Situations were different during lockdown. I completed my 12th this year(2020-2021). The bike has a 159.7cc single cylinder oil cooled rtfi(race tuned fuel injected) engine. Talking about the looks. It has a v shaped headlamp (inspired from TVS draken ). The bike has a 4 Valve engine. The exhaust note is pretty base. It has a double barrel exhaust note. The bike has 5 gears. Also the bike has a unique feature known as GTT ( glide through traffic). GTT is available up to 3 gears. In the 1st gear goes up to 7km, 2nd gear it goes up to 12km and in the 3rd gear it goes up to 18km - 20km. The bike is available in 3 colors: racing red, knight black, glossy blue. Talking about the cons the bike does not have a kick start option. Bluetooth option is not available in 160 4v. It's available only in 200 4v. The bike produces 14.8 nm of torque @ 6500 rpm. It gives 45km(approx.) in the city. And talking about the variants. The bike is available in 2 variants : rear drum front disc and front and rear disc brake. And talking about the instrument console, The bike has an abs meter, lap timer, distance covered ,time. The instrument console is digital. The competitors of the bike is hero xtreme 160r and pulsar ns160. Overall it is an amazing bike. Any biker who dreams of getting a sports bike can blindly go for the tvs apache rtr 160 4v.

First of all, looks were awesome (Bs4) and good buying experience. The bike was very good till 7500km after 7.5k km the major problem was started which is exhaust system it behaves like mad and started an irritating sound like trin trin trin and I went to the showroom and changed the full exhaust (insurance covered for exhaust) my bike was 26500 km now and I'm experiencing the same problem i was irritated very much. Now I went to the showroom again but this time the exhaust costs Rs.10200 please think before you buy. Rest everything was good. Pros: 1. 0-60 in just 3.8 sec 2.Top speed 143kmph 3. 1st Gear 47kmph 2nd Gear 79kmph 3rd Gear 110kmph 4th Gear 124kmph 5th Gear 143kmph 4.Stable at Top speeds Note: Results may vary due to wind speed. Cons: 1.Irritated by exhaust problem two times. 2.Braking could much better ABS works like nothing. 3.No slipper clutch. 4.No gear position indicator. 5.Rear disc brake is just 200mm which is very bad 6.Mileage when top speed is just 21 kmpl in city upto 28kmpl. (Tested by me on highway and city)
