Looks: coming to the looks, it is what attracted me the most. That black color, that muscular tank, that all digital instrument console, that seat structure, that all led headlight setup, swing arm, indicators, taillight, everything. Even that side and middle stand. The headlight has a great range. The beam spread is more than enough. Everything on the sides during the night is very clear to view. The beam throw is decent and helps a lot in seeing potholes before falling in them. The drls looks amazing and at night it specially looks like a smiling face. The tank looks sexy along with those indicators that are pretty strong and looks stylish according to the color. The seating position is not to lean and not too relaxed. It is a blend of comfortable and stylish. The rider has enough space to move forward and back and the pillion gets a dedicated seat, so no fight while sharing seat. The seat cushioning is decent for long rides but not too long. Occasional stops needed specially if pillion is a human. It can be a little tiring for the pillion, as the pillion has no backrest and needs to maintain his/her posture very often. The brakes and gear levers are in good position, easy for a normal rider to ride. However, in my variant, it is hard for short-palmed riders to grab the brake or clutch levers as it is fairly far from the handle, tvs resolved this in their new variant with adjustable levers. The pillion seat has a place for storage underneath to keep a first aid packet and a few tools. You can also keep some papers there but they might end up in hard folds. But if you remove the storage section under the pillion seat you can keep things wrapped in plastic on both sides easily. It is something that not every 200 4v riders know. The tail light is very attractive and so is the back section. The exhaust too looks beautiful due to the double barrel and of course the sound. The foot rest position for rider is optimum and less restraining but the same cannot be said for the pillion as the legs needs to be high but not in a relaxed way that might be little painful and cause muscle cramps, if not seated properly. Ground clearance is excellent and less prone to hit anything, bike is good for off roading but not extremely. Mud guard does good job in avoiding dust or mud to splash above the engine. The number plate bulb displays the number plate clearly at night but it is too prone to getting damaged. It is cheap and so doesn't matter so much. Roughly it may cost you 10-20 rupees. The saree guard and ladies footrest is strong and holding perfectly fine. The side stand looks great and the middle stand is designed nicely to easily put a 153 kg bike on middle stand. The rear view mirrors are big and provide clear view of all approaching vehicles on both sides. It remains stable at fairly high rpms. Also i love their aerodynamic design. The plastic body doesn't feel of cheap quality. The most beautiful part is the instrument cluster or console. The console has smart x connect which connects to the phone displaying call and message notifications in the console screen. It also provides turn by turn navigation. The tvs connect application gives you even more data than you can want. Along with all these you get trip meters, fuel bar indicator, abs indicator, reserve fuel indicator, theft protection indicator etc. Etc. I might get tired even talking about all those features and options. Overall to me it is the sexiest and most beautiful beast of tvs.
Apart from all this, tvs even has apache owners group that is cool and makes it a community in itself. It is a fuel efficient motorcycle in its segment, has got good power and torque, and i would like to recommend this bike to everyone who is hesitant about it and those not hesitant. I love this bike. Tvs did a great job in making the bike and also in determining its price and features. It is the most feature rich bike in this 200 cc segment, and is a competition to all other similar segment bikes.
I'll be discussing the pros and cons now:
    Cons:
1)not too suitable for riders below 5 feet 6 inch or more than 6.3 inch.
2)bike gets too much vibrations in high rpm.
    3)sixth gear much needed.
4)beam throw is not always enough and led headlight is a pain in rain and fog.
    5) indicators needed to be led.
6)too hard to turn the bike in opposite direction in narrow spaces.
7)tvs did compromise the finish in some of the plastic parts like the switches and carbon fiber body.
8)pillion seat is not very comfortable for long rides.
9)bike is not very much suitable for off-roading in extremes and long touring.
10)rear brake seems little less active to me.
11)the led instrument console along with the drls bother me during night rides.
12)led high beam may be a pain for opposite direction riders specially in one way roads.
13)side stand is too leaned and short to park in leaned roads and places.
    14)needed a side stand indicator.
15)mudguards do not really save the bike from the wheel mud during rain. Rider and pillion's cloth may get dirty easily.
16)big side mirrors, always keeps hitting door or other vehicles or people.
17)service feedback is hilarious and worse.
18)liquid cooling would have been better than oil cooling, which results in heat generation even in short rides.
    19)color quality is not finest.
    20) bolts and nuts needed to be of more fine material or fine quality.
More cons may be on their way in near future. But i seriously doubt cons are gonna outrun the pros,
    Pros:
    1)excellent throttle feedback.
    2)exhaust is magnificent
    3)0-60 km/h is very fast.
    4) fuel efficiency is good.
    5) chain drive is of good quality.
    6)headlights are good.
    7) rear view mirrors are fine.
    8) ground clearance is very good.
    9)horn is good.
    10) brakes are good.
11)bike is very steady at high rpms.
    12) handling is butter.
    13) instrument cluster is feature rich.
    14)sitting posture is very suitable.
    15)meant for racing.
16)first in segment to have dual channel abs.
    17)great suspension.
    18)seat quality is very suitable.
19)RLP is really handy to avoid stoppie.
    20)gear shifts are smooth
    21) RT slipper clutch.
    22)gtt.
23)plain keys, hard for vehicle theft.
    24)most suitable price in segment.
    25)really handy on corners.
    26)fantastic ergonomics.
27)i have once even received a mileage of 50.31kmpl riding in sweet rpms.
    28)refined engine.
    29)storage under seat.
    30)cheap maintenance.
These were only the pros on paper, i have discussed more in the whole explanation. More riding feedback yet to come along with more pros and not so much cons. It is a feeling i have.
Well i explained a lot cause i love this motorcycle. Its just a fan review.

Hello guys i had purchased my apache 200 in march 17 as i got same day delivery which was awesome. Talking about riding & handling ergonomics it's super bike for highway cruising as it has little upright position which help for long ride which don't effect backbone one of the reasons to buy this bike. Talking about looks its eye catching bike as it looks heavy naked bike with the drl it looks aggressive. Performance with mileage of 38 on highway is quite impressive for such air-cooled motor. Braking on this machine is awesome. Servicing is little high as you compare to pulsars but refinement wins against any 200 cc bikes in today's market. Maintenance its a very low maintenance bike as i have covered more than 15000 i haven't changed my brake pads nor air filters. Pros very good quality bike and performance oriented. Cons lagging of 6 gear which would help on higher rpms and less vibration on high speed more than 120 kmph. Wish for liquid cool engine in future with more power with same price tag.

Don't revs high when bike is idling it make create odd noise later. And in every morning give choke to the bike first while starting it everyday for 30 secs it will help engine to get oils up

The buying experience went smooth as the dealership is right beside my office. I had to wait about a week to 10 days for the arrival of the bike. The starting note of the bike is surely a head turner. It has its unique and throaty exhaust notes. The rider feels comfortable even on 300km+ journeys. Not sure i could say the same about the pillion. Speaking about looks, the bike looks kinda ugly on the pictures but man was i amazed to see it in real. It could be something to do with the perspective of the picture but in reality it looks amazing. The Indian flag themed sticker on the side of headlamp adds a touch to the look supporting "make in India" and the feel of patriotism (if that's your thing). Tvs claims the bike does 0-60kmph in 3.9s though i haven't utilised the full potential of the bike yet. The bike feels pretty solid on the highways and the city. The bike could still push beyond the 120kmph mark without significant vibrations. Though tvs claims the top speed to be 127kmph I've seen people take this bike beyond 150kmph. Speaking of cons of the bike i feel it could do a bit better if it had a 6gear system compared to the 5 gear system it currently has. The current oil cooled system is sufficient enough but it would be a perk if it had the liquid cooled system in it. Coming to the pros, the digital screen provides a lot of info (more than what you would normally require but if you are given more features who wouldn't say no to it). The best feature on the display would be the direction assistant which helps you navigate by assisting you to navigate by showing diversions. It also comes with a top speed mode, 0-60 timer and lap mode if you are taking the bike on a track for a high speed run. The other cool pro of the bike is the "glide through technology" which is the technology which can be found on cars. Even with the throttle at 0, if you release the clutch to a certain extent at 1st,2nd and 3rd gears the bike moves forward slightly. This helps a lot in the city traffic where you risk hitting other vehicles when traffic moves at a slow pace. Overall the bike feels pretty solid and i could say its the best you can get in the price range. Ride safe.

Initially bike was good and running very smooth and riding experience is also good, mileage is about 32 kmpl. After 15000 kms about a year i starts facing problems in bike i ride very easy and slow but every month i face some problem in bike. I am not happy with this bike.1. Side stand is very small and it fallen multiple times now i do not use side stand.2. Chain generates voice more loud than engine and it irritates me so much i feels like i am running 5 yrs old bike. 3. Mileage is very low 4. Bike are not comfortable for long route.5. I always go to authorized service center for servicing even most of the time before due date. After servicing bike runs good but after 300-400 kms its sounds the same.

  • Nice bike but tvs after sales service sucks

    Ketan

    Pros

    1. Looks

    2. Instrument cluster provides a ton of information.

    3. Exhaust note. I just love it.

    4.Decent mileage 38 kmpl

    Cons

    1. Tvs after sales service is pathetic.

    2. If you go to service center they just wash the bike & give it back to you.

    3. Clutch is bit hard to operate.

    4. Gear box is noisy & not the smoothest in the segment. While shifting gear specially from 1 to n or 1 to 2 & 2 to 3, gear box makes a lot of noise which is kind of annoying and not expected in a bike which costs you more than a lack.

    5. Bike has got decent pick-up, not the fastest in the segment. Lacks 6th gear

    6. There are vibrations post 6000 rpm.

Final verdict :- if speed & acceleration are not your first priority and you need a bike with good looks for daily commute then you can consider this bike. One thing i love in this bike is the exhaust note.

Nod good for long rides or racing.

I guess this is the slowest 200cc bike available in the market.

  • Best budget sports-commuter bike

    Lanwil Ds

I bought apache RTR 200 4v with ride mode version for 1.71 lakhs on road Mangalore Karnataka. Engine is smoother than before, obliviously BS6 engine is very smooth, throttle response is very nice, I can reach 0-60km/h within 3.7sec. Due to ride modes update, the bike's mileage has been increased from before. I am claiming 52 km/l after 1st service. The urban and rain mode will decrease the power to 160cc power figure so it will increase mileage and sport mode will make you feel like 200cc bike with full power.
Build quality is nice, so no issue with looks but I face issue with side stand. The side stand is very small. 3 times bike fell while standing on side stand. You should keep bike at very straight surface but still you feel like it will fall. Service is very cheap I paid 670 Rs. for first service. Pillion seat is comfortable. Rear brake is not good as expected but company recommends you to use front brake at 90% so you need to change your riding style. Top end is not good like ns200, you can easily cruze at 100-110 km/h with little vibrations. Stable at corners. And super stable at high speeds, max i did 117 km/h till date. I am sure it will go till 140 km/h. Verdict: if you want safety (comes with dual channel abs) + pillion seat comfort (unlike mt15) and reasonable mileage as per riding style best mid range performance this is the bike for you. Please buy with ride modes version so you never regret for mileage.

    Shafeeq Tk

It's been a month since i took the rtr 200 4v, and i drive very decently. Now i facing an issue from the front suspension. There have oil leakage from the right front suspension.I registered complaint at the service center, but its spare parts(shock absorber) are not there. Then they ordered from the company. I have been waiting for ten days now and have not received any updates from their side yet. Tvs service is too bad, their service and responsibility are minimal after the delivered the bike.

  • Delivered bike with throttle complaint

    Arun Mukundan

I bought a new rtr 200 4v from vs motors mangalapuram, trivandrum kerala on 19/10/2022. I didn't get an opportunity to ride my own vehicle from the delivery because after riding for 12km it started showing a missing problem and the engine was turning off whenever slowing down.
So returned the vehicle for service the same day i bought it. And after 2 days they called and told me that the issue is resolved and when I was testing it the issue is still present.
I asked him, what was the issue he solved and he replied that the fuel cable was twisted and that's why it showing missing. I just wondered then why that issue wasn't present when you delivered this thing to me and his reply was absolutely unacceptable.
He said that there was an issue at the time of delivery but they thought that there won't be any problem after riding it for some distance.
What kind of responsible person can say something like this?
And 5 days later they called me again and told me that the issue was the throttle was damaged and they fixed it now.
So I went there and took my bike back. But now the indicator and the passing light are not working.
I did communicate with customer service about this issue and they were also doing nothing. Don't buy this bike if you want to save money.
Now I'm totally disappointed with the services provided by the tvs for new vehicle delivery and also I was expecting that you guys were providing better quality and better services and now I'm ashamed to say that I bought one from tvs.

  • All the pros and cons i can give.

    Sudipta Das

  • All the pros and cons i can give.

    Sudipta Das

Ride safe.

  • Tvs service is too bad
