I bought my apache on 1st jan,2017 for almost 90k. Originally it was a gift from my father. Before this i had a pulsar 180, so i am very much familiar with 180cc bike regarding it's pickup, fuel efficiency etc. The sales agency was very friendly so the buying experience was almost as perfect as it can be and they completed all their formalities. They gave various incentives also like 5 free services and a 5 year extended warranty on the bike engine. The riding experience of my bike is as smooth as it could be. The most attractive point which i found in the bike was it's aerodynamics, the maneuverability is awesome with which you can make some awesome cuts (overtaking a vehicle). The fuel efficiency should not be major consideration if you want to purchase this bike as the mileage given by the bike was between 35-40 kmph. You can only expect this for an almost racing bike. There only some cosmetic changes that were missing in the bike (as i said i had a pulsar) that were the backlit buttons and auto-off indicators. Apart from these the bike has an awesome look and feel to it. The performance of the bike is as promised by tvs. Now coming to service and maintenance; the cost for maintaining the bike is pretty nominal. The bike needs to be serviced after approximately 1.5-2 months. The service cost was roughly rs. 700-900 which included the tvs motors mobil oil, which any opinion is best oil for the bike and other things included in this are oil filter, chain oil, brake oil and labour (after free services). Summing up the above info i get to following pros and cons of the bike:Pros:- 1) aerodynamic design 2) great pickup 3) good fuel efficiency for an almost racing bike. 4) great riding experience 5) affordable cost of maintenance Cons:- 1) no backlit buttons 2) no auto-off turn indicators 3) better mileage in the same price segment. So that's my opinion on the tvs apache rtr 180. I hope it may be helpful for you to decide whether you want to buy the bike or not.
Tips for TVS Apache RTR 180 [2018-2019]
Tubeless tyres are the best and reliable. Oil should be changed after every 500 kms or so.

This is a good bike for daily commute. If i talk to about its mileage and comfort then it's ok not satisfactory. But it's handling and performance on highway and city is excellent. It's build quality and road presence (before 2017) was quite good. Arai certified mileage is 45km/l but gives me only 30km/.

I purchased apache 180 on 27 july 2017 and have ridden it about 16000kms until now. One expression that comes out of heart is "wow..... I mean the bike is superb. Oh boy¡¡¡¡¡..... The pickup... I don't think any bike in this section comes even close when it comes to pick up. Simply love everything about it. The maintenance costs are reasonable, and it is easy to find dealership. Apache 180 is the best bike in its price range. Low end performance of the bike is unbelievable it can compete with duke 200 in traffic and drag race. The bike has some vibrations after long usage. Handling and braking are excellent, it can go quickly through traffic. I had ridden this beast for 35k km change the chain sprocket 2 times, the rear tyre once and oil filter. Good for both city and long rides.

1.Need to wait 5 days for the bike after booking in pune.2.Good handling, gearbox can be better, power is good, no heating issues in traffic, highway you can cruise on 85 to 95 easily.3. Looks can be better light throw is not that good it is very problematic to do night ride in unknown road.4. Service is good as tvs is local. Parts are available.

Actually the bike is belong to my brother but for 3 years i am using this bike as my brother was shifted in bangalore. The riding experience is very comfortable and looks of this bike are completely awesome and a very powerful bike.Service cost is very affordable and it consume very less maintenance. Top speed is approx 133km/h. I highly recommend you to buy this bike if you have any budget range. I called my bike as *beast* and i suggest you to always give your bike a name to completely connect with it.
