Few words about my bike apache rtr 180
Navdeep Jain
I bought my apache on 1st jan,2017 for almost 90k. Originally it was a gift from my father. Before this i had a pulsar 180, so i am very much familiar with 180cc bike regarding it's pickup, fuel efficiency etc. The sales agency was very friendly so the buying experience was almost as perfect as it can be and they completed all their formalities. They gave various incentives also like 5 free services and a 5 year extended warranty on the bike engine. The riding experience of my bike is as smooth as it could be. The most attractive point which i found in the bike was it's aerodynamics, the maneuverability is awesome with which you can make some awesome cuts (overtaking a vehicle). The fuel efficiency should not be major consideration if you want to purchase this bike as the mileage given by the bike was between 35-40 kmph. You can only expect this for an almost racing bike. There only some cosmetic changes that were missing in the bike (as i said i had a pulsar) that were the backlit buttons and auto-off indicators. Apart from these the bike has an awesome look and feel to it. The performance of the bike is as promised by tvs. Now coming to service and maintenance; the cost for maintaining the bike is pretty nominal. The bike needs to be serviced after approximately 1.5-2 months. The service cost was roughly rs. 700-900 which included the tvs motors mobil oil, which any opinion is best oil for the bike and other things included in this are oil filter, chain oil, brake oil and labour (after free services). Summing up the above info i get to following pros and cons of the bike:Pros:- 1) aerodynamic design 2) great pickup 3) good fuel efficiency for an almost racing bike. 4) great riding experience 5) affordable cost of maintenance Cons:- 1) no backlit buttons 2) no auto-off turn indicators 3) better mileage in the same price segment. So that's my opinion on the tvs apache rtr 180. I hope it may be helpful for you to decide whether you want to buy the bike or not.

I owned this bike June 2017 , a terrible experience with this. Initially it has problems with the mask vibration. Same showed to arunagiri motors service station, they rectified temporarily. After 3rd service found issue with the front fork, after visiting service centre 3 times they changed the inner tubes. But after that again the mask vibration starts which is more than the initial time. I afraid to ride bcz it vibrating a lot. When i visited today (30.3.18) one of the engineer said this is common with the rtr180. If it is common issue, why tvs still manufacturing & selling this bike to the peoples. I paid nearly 1 lakh, now i has the feeling that it is useless & i shouldn't have gone to tvs showroom.

Apache 180 is very good
Hemant Shrivas
It's been 6 years since i first saw the pleasure in the showroom. Even though there were quite a lot of customers that day, all the paperwork took only twenty minutes. I was really happy with the buying experience. I am a 6' foot tall male weighing 97kgs now. Even though hero advertises the pleasure as a girly vehicle, i have had no problems riding it. I even took it to nh33 and rode more than 60kms that day. There were no problems. The old pleasure has aged well. Even though the new pleasure certainly looks better, the old pleasure is still something good to look at. The engine is punchy and responsive at the lower rev range. However, it does feel a little out of breadth at full throttle. (do not try that on public roads!!! i did that on an uphill)we chose hero honda over other manufacturers because their service centre was close to our house. Servicing is an easy process. Just drop your vehicle at the service centre along with a few papers in the morning and the vehicle is fully serviced by the evening. Maintenance is affordable.Pros:- 1. Pleasure has perfect proportions. Its neither too big nor too small. 2. Good grips on the handle bar. I feel no fatigue after travelling long distances.3. Engine is powerful enough while providing decent fuel economy. When it was new, i was able to squeeze out 43.3 kmpl (101% accurate, i tested that out myself), now its 35-40 kmpl, but i can live with that.4. Foot-pegs are easy to open and close for the passenger. Cons:-1... Male riders wants a bit more leg space.2. Instrument cluster is outdated.4. Body protectors are prone to rusting.

It was time for me to get a motorcycle for myself. The budget was restricted to rs. 1 lakh and the list had to have the best motorcycles within the budget. There wasn’t any option to get a second hand motorcycle and hence the list narrowed down to the tvs apache rtr 180. The apache rtr 180 has been in our stable for about 1 year and has completed more than 5,000 kms and all this while we’ve been just enjoying the bike. The rtr which stands for racing throttle response actually lives up to it. The styling is one element which makes the presence of the bike felt. Though the motorcycle is small and has only a few body panels, those panels do show off pretty nicely. The bike came with a few grey coloured graphics which look subtle and the only thing that the abs version gets is the 3d apache emblem as it is the top line offering from tvs. There’s something special about the instrument cluster of the apache which is an analogue-digital meter displaying a lot of information. It offers features like a top speed recorder, 0-60 km/hr sprint timer and a lap timer. The rest of the details such as trip meter, odometer, etc. Are displayed on the digital console. The cluster gets a blue back-light which is super bright and the digital lcd is easy to read. Even after 1 year, the digital meter is clear and displays details clearly. The tvs apache 180 weight being 139 kgs and the engine belting out 17 bhp of power at engine: 177.4 cc ,mileage : 45 kmpl fuel type : petrol chassis type : double cradle synchro stiff suspension-front : telescopic forks suspension-rear........................

It looks like a dream bike.I like this bike because it's pick up is high and great with best control and balance. This bike is best in medium price.I love this bike. It's top speed is min 120 to125 kmph. There is led light which makes it crazy for everyone Both brakes are disc brake for best control, I am sure you will like this bike.

Good bike at good price

Very good bike to daily commuter

This is a good bike for daily commute. If i talk to about its mileage and comfort then it's ok not satisfactory. But it's handling and performance on highway and city is excellent. It's build quality and road presence (before 2017) was quite good. Arai certified mileage is 45km/l but gives me only 30km/.

Tubeless tyres are the best and reliable. Oil should be changed after every 500 kms or so.
