Tvs apache 160 is awsome to ride and no vibration when drive and it's looking is very impressive, performance is best than other similar bikes what i feel myself. Servicing cost is very low and maintenance is affordable not much more. I am using this bike from last 1 year and already crossed 45000 km and usually it's good for anywhere.

    Harish Ram

At first, i was really excited to buy this bike as it had been a dream for more than 6 years. My riding experience with this bike is good but when you cross 80+ it starts to vibrate slightly. The drl which looks like an angry eye of a predator and the muscular body design looks pretty good but according to the performance, i had touched 124kmph with this bike it delivers a mileage of 40 - 45km/l which is quite enough for me. The first five services cost approx. of 300 rs each and the maintenance cost is pretty low on this bike. The instrument cluster provides all the basic needs except the gear position indicator and it's an analog-digital console. Now let's talk about the pros of this bike:-
(performance) - the bike is extremely responsive to the throttle inputs and will definitely satisfy most of the hardcore riders.
(build quality) - the tvs apache rtr 160 boasts commendable built quality and ages really well over time. The plastics used are of good quality and so are other critical mechanical components. In all, the overall built quality of the tvs apache 160 is better than most of its rivals.
(parts replacement) - the parts are not very expensive to replace and their availability is not a major concern.
(practical urban performance commuter) - the rtr 160 has a compact footprint, scores high in overall agility, and offers a decent fuel economy. All this, clubbed together, makes it a practical and a good choice for those who are looking for a performance-packed bike for the urban commute.
    Cons:-
(not a tvs engine) - the engine of apache is the engine of suzuki fiero a (Japanese)motorcycle launched in the year 2000.
(engine refinement) - the fuel-injected engine powering the rtr 160 is extremely powerful and responsive, giving the bike some incredible performance. However, this motor lacks the refinement and smoothness levels and does tend to vibrate a lot when pushed hard.
(brakes) - while the overall performance is great, the brakes on the other hand feel very spongy and lack the feel and feedback levels that a rider would expect. The braking performance is decent but the feel-feedback offered from the brakes should have been better.
According to my suggestion, you can also compare this motorcycle with its new generation the apache rtr 160 4v which offers a fully digital instrument cluster and a four-valve engine that produce 17.63 ps of power and 14.73 nm of torque this bike can cross 135+ when accelerated furiously the price of this bike is approximately 5000 - 7000 rs higher than apache 160 2v. The apache 160 4v has an oil-cooled engine while the apache 160 has an air-cooled engine while the apache 160 2v gives a mileage of 2 to 5 km/l more than apache rtr 160 4v
But both these bikes don't suit taller riders. The design of 160 4v is as same as the design of apache 200 4v on the other hand the 160 4v had an led setup and an led drl at the head while the 160 2v had a halogen setup with led drl at the front.
Hope you guys this review had helped you
    Thank you

    Style good.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox not smooth and smooth, it depends on speed, after 70 km/h its smooth and rocks on the road, only on the first day on/after service vehicle is smooth after it feels like you need service to your bike

fuel economy is good, gear box is some time gives trouble, not smooth, you better wear shoes.

Ride quality & handling do not give that much comfort, you may have a back ache, if you try for fuel economy then you will have balancing problem when you have one in your back seat, handling is good, becareful with brakes, they stuck, you need to be extremely careful with brakes

i think its not for family, its for young... When you ride with back seat passinger you don't feel good balance.

Final words its all my experience with my bike, this review not to favor any bike or to lower the image of apache, but what i mentioned are genuine pros/cons. Ok... Be careful with the brakes, i don't recommend it to family person, bike is also got good weight.

The old apache rtr refresh sporty yellows had attractive looks. The one which is coming now is completely lost the looks the old model had. Tvs should re-launch the old model in bs6 standards. Customers are interested towards old model only not the one with led drls. Tvs should launch the old model in bs6.And see which sells best. Superb build quality, performance ,mass engine sound. Pearl yellow old apache color was glittering.

Sorry for the title, but i had to do this because i want you to make the right decision before buying apache rtr160. So let's begin sequentially;1) looks:-. It has a good body design, and has great finishing work by the tvs company. The sporty look will surely grab others attention.2)performance:- pick up is awesome and the rest is what all the bikes have.3) drawbacks:-. Will be a bit comfortable for tall riders as its height is short. Breaking system is not upto the mark.Note:- the one thing that i love the most is its sound. The sound will give you heavy feel. So, altogether it's a good, value for money bike. But loses a point from the tall riders point of view.

  • Surprising performance in this price segment

    Shriharsha

I am riding apache 160 2v bike from past 6 months. I researched a lot about various bikes and finally decided to purchase this bike at the price of 1,35,000 Rs at Bangalore. I got a surprise about the riding experience and afterwards started riding this bike because of its performance. I like the sudden pickup, anti vibration, speed, road grip, anti-lock braking system (ABS) etc. The bike has decent looks and attractive color (my bike is matte grey) and has a unique body design. This bike is available in various superb colors like pearl white, gloss red, matte red, gloss black, matte blue, matte grey. I have done 3 services as per kilometer basis. The service cost is very less compared to other bikes in this segment.. I am getting nearly 1-1.5k per service.
    Pros :
    1. Good mileage (45-50 km per liter),
    2. Road grip
    3. Braking system (ABS)
    4. Good suspension system
    Cons:
    1. Headlamp is not more bright, but good
    2. Lack of modern features like Bluetooth connectivity etc.

I own a apache 160 bs3 we purchase apache 160 2v in 2016. The first impression of bike is fabulous. Mean, the initial pick up and build quality of apache is remarkable and exhaust note is quite impressive. But nothing is perfect in this world it's also apply on apache. The vibration is slightly high in comparison to it's rival. But everything will be ok if you love raw power with good exhaust note then the apache is made for you. But if you look a bike with better engine refinement. Then go for honda hornet or suzuki gixxer .But note the aftersales service of tvs is excellent .Mean we get get the spare parts at a resnable price with resnable labour charge. The reponse of tvs staff is also cooperative and last not least which i forget to mention is mileage the apache offer a decent mileage at city 35+ and at highway it give 42+ to be to be honest. If you look a bike with performance and reliability the go for apache 160 thank you for reading my review.

  • Reality review of rtr 160

Totally apache was a good bike in 160cc segment and very affordable for common people riding quality is very good. Service which is providing to the customers is very impressive and very quick and responsive this is what people will expect from a brand. Service and maintenance was affordable for everyone and tires are very bad if tvs offers better tires then absolutely apache is a great bike
