About Tiger 800 XR [2017]

The Triumph Tiger 800 XR is the entry-level model in the company’s adventure touring range. With several creature comforts and a comfortable riding position, the Tiger 800 XR is pegged as a road-biased touring motorcycle.

The Triumph Tiger XR is based on the same tubular trellis frame which underpins the rest of Tiger 800 range. Powering the Tiger XR is a 799cc inline three-cylinder engine which delivers 94bhp and 79Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox. It gets a trip computer, sump guard, hazard lights, a 12-volt power port and adjustable brake and clutch levers.

The Tiger XR rides on 17-inch rear and 19-inch front cast alloy wheels and gets switchable ABS and traction control. However, being an entry-level model, the Tiger XR misses out on electronic aids like riding modes and cruise control. The Tiger 800 XR is available in three paint schemes – white, black and matte green.
