About Speed Triple 1200RR
Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR is expected to launch in India in October 2021 in the expected price range of ₹ 17,00,000 to ₹ 18,00,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Speed Triple 1200RR are Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, Yamaha YZF R15 V4 & Aprilia Tuono Factory.
Triumph is prepping to globally introduce the all-new Speed Triple 1200RR. This bike will be based on the existing Speed Triple 1200RS super naked offering. The company has shared a teaser of the prototype that reveals it boasting a semi-faired design.
The teaser shows the bike incorporating a round headlamp accompanied by a retro-styled fairing. The fuel tank and tail section remain similar to the Speed Triple. However, the RR will be different on the ergonomics front as there seems to be a clip-on handlebar for an aggressive riding position. Although the rear seat is replaced by a cowl, the existence of footpegs means it will come with an optional pillion seat.
The Speed Triple 1200RR is likely to remain the same as its naked sibling in terms of hardware. Hence, it might be powered by the same 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine that churns out 177bhp at 10,750rpm and 125Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. The suspension and braking hardware along with electronic aids might also remain unchanged.
The official unveiling of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RR is likely to take place in the coming months while India launch could happen early next year.
