The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has been launched in India, now updated to meet OBD-2B emission norms. Priced at ₹10.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the adventure-tourer gets subtle cosmetic updates and continues to offer serious off-road capability paired with long-distance comfort.
For 2025, the V-Strom 800DE is available in three new colour schemes: Pearl Tech White with blue spoked wheels, Champion Yellow No.2 with black panels and blue wheels, and Glass Sparkle Black with red-grey graphics and black wheels. These new colours enhance the bike’s rugged ADV persona while catering to different rider preferences.
At the heart of the V-Strom 800DE lies a 776cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin DOHC engine, tuned to deliver 84bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm. The motor features a 270-degree crankshaft that offers a V-twin-like character and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The V-Strom 800DE is purpose-built for tackling mixed terrain. It gets a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, both wire-spoke and wrapped in block-pattern tyres. With 220mm of ground clearance and 220mm suspension travel via Showa USD front forks and a rear monoshock, the bike is well-equipped for adventure touring.
In terms of features, the 800DE comes with a five-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster, LED lighting all around, and a USB charging socket. Electronics are handled by the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which includes ride-by-wire throttle, bi-directional quickshifter, three riding modes, switchable traction control with a dedicated Gravel mode, two ABS modes, low RPM assist, and Suzuki’s Easy Start system.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE takes on a competitive mid-weight ADV segment in India, locking horns with rivals like the Honda XL750 Transalp, Triumph Tiger 900 GT, and the BMW F850GS.
