The GS150R is a 150cc offering from Suzuki Motorcycles India. It was introduced in November 2008 as Suzuki’s first model in the highly competitive 150cc segment in India. The motorcycle perfectly fits between the commuter class and the premium class in the 150cc segment.
The GS150R is powered by a 149cc, single-cylinder engine producing 13.8bhp of power and 13.4Nm of torque. What’s unique to this motorcycle is that the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox for better cruising performance on the highway.
Standard features on the GS150R include GSX-R-derived engine rpm indicator lights, electric start, stylish five-spoke alloy wheels, LED tail lamp and integrated rear turn indicators similar to ones seen on bigger displacement GSX-R motorcycles.
The GSR150R gets a hydraulic single disc at the front while the rear braking is provided using a drum unit. The motorcycle is available in three colours – Pearl Mirage White, Candy Antares Red and Glass Sparkle Black. The GS150R competes against the Yamaha FZ-16 and the Honda CB Trigger in the highly competitive 150cc segment.
The ARAI mileage of Suzuki GS150R is 56 kmpl. The average of the GS150R is 53 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

I'm using this bike last 14 years and still using it. I can say it's a maintenance-free bike. More than 95000 km completed. No problem at all to date. Amazing mileage approx 50 plus after 14 years. At top speed no vibration in the handlebar. The only issue is with spare parts. Long waiting period for the availability of parts in the local market.

Having used this bike for more than 2 years, I find it to be the best 150cc bike in this segment, fuel-efficient, and value for money. The average mileage on a daily basis is between 50-55 on 15-20km daily use. The Suzuki gs 150 r's engine has excellent performance without vibration, I enjoy riding this black beauty every day. :)

The beast for man

Actually, this is my second review of this great bike. The advantage of this bike is its weight of 149 kg with 6 gears. It is said that riding this bike in a congested city like chennai is an uphill task. But the reality is just the opposite. Even in bumper-to-bumper traffic and in the 3rd gear, one can move freely. Its 4th gear is ideal for city riding. On the highway, things are really marvelous. After 4300 rpm the bike runs very smoothly. I bought this beast in 2015 and now I have completed 82000 kms. So far, I have replaced clutch plates, chain sprocket twice, twin throttle cable, choke cable, and clutch cables also replaced twice. One must remember that service at the right place is absolutely necessary as far as this bike is concerned. Because spares are available only at the showrooms themselves. Finally, suzuki motorcycle has discontinued this bike for no reason at all. There is no other bike like this to replace with a new one. This is the bike that has a gear shift indicator, clock, fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer, low fuel indicator etc. As a lover of this bike, I expect the similar one in the future from suzuki.

This is a good bike for daily usage. I have a 2012 model gs150r. This bike has good stability and riding comfort and mileage is also good according to a 150cc bike. Stylish look also. Good suspension and incredible performance in 6 gears. The seating capacity and fuel tank capacity are good. It looks also like a sports bike. As per my experience, it is an awesome bike for daily use. This is my request to suzuki for the relaunch of this bike again.

Stable gixxer 110 speed and 51 mileage
Santosh
It cost me 92-93k in 2016, and till now ride run is 50k+, for me, mileage is 49-51 in the city(hyderabad traffic conditions). For me it is a very comfortable ride starting in 1 week I had trouble balancing bcoz of my 5ft height, my average speed in the city 40-70, and on highways 60-90 (the highest for me is 110speed). No significant maintenance cost till now, except for the chain kit and other regular services, satisfied with suzuki gixxer.

I'm riding this bike since 2013 when I was just a 14-year-old boy that time I don't like the bike even after 2years in 2015or 2016 I sell the bike and brought a thunderbird but after some days riding thunderbird, I realized I was made a mistake why I sold the best machine the gs 150r and then 2nd time I bought this bike this is an ultimate machine in 150cc segment and top speed 138 kph. This bike is smooth like butter.
