How is the new Suzuki Gixxer 250?I own Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 2019 matte black . At the time of writing this , Ive ridden enough to give you some idea about the bike ( > 1000kms )the first thing in the bike that stands out is the looks. Its looks kinda okay from the front , but from sides it gives that big bike " feelRIDING ERGONOMICS, you will feel at home if you have ridden the previous generation Gixxer SF 155 or gixxer 155 , but you need to stretch your arms a little bit to reach the newly installed CLIP ONN handlebars . Foot pegs are neither center set nor back set , one need not flex the knee completely while riding. No wrist Pain , back pain whatsoever after riding continuously for more than 200 kms . Bike feels light even at rest .HEART OF THE BIKE and performance, I will divide the performance into city and long rides . Before that , once you turn on the keys - the injectors make that sound which I like a lot . SUZUKI EASY TOUCH has been equipped on this bike , That is , touch the self start once it will take multiple attempts by itself to start the bike , if the engine doesn't start immediately. 99.99 % of the times , engine comes to life just after you touch the start button .Engine is very smooth for a single cylinder bike. Gear shifts are smooth but not the smoothest !!!!CITY PERFORMANCE, I ride on the busy streets of BENGALURU. The power and torque starts to kick in as soon as 3000 rpm and builds up till 9500 rpm . You can easily use 4th gear in the city , knocking sound doesn't come even at 3000 rpm in 4 th gear. If you want to overtake a vehicle , you can just open the throttle and pass that vehicle without changing gears. MILEAGE IN CITY : 32 kmpl for my riding stylelong ride performance. The bike touches 100 kmph very easily without any hassles. Taking about cruise speed , will get around 95 kmph at 6000 rpm in 6th gear. Seat cushions are soft , it wont give you any kind of pains. MILEAGE ON LONG RIDES : 37 kmphHEAD LIGHTS : being an all led set up , the throw of the lights are excellent and you can ride all night long !!!!!WINDSCREEN : God!! Its so small .lol, definitely needs an upgrade.Pillion comfort : seats are soft and adequately wide , but I doubt the pillion comfort on long rides.and short pillion may feel very difficult to hop on the seat cuz its very tall.Road grip , mrf revzz are doing great job even on wet roads !!!! I wont be changing the tyres any time soon as I am pretty much confident on MRFsRoad presence , yes!!! People look at your bike quite often and you may have to answer a lot of questions which the people ask you in the traffic signals.OIL COOLING !!! Initially lot of men and women had a doubt about the cooling system on this bike , but it works brilliantly. If cooling doubt is the only thing which is bothering you a lot to make a decision to buy this bike, just believe me and go buy the bikeMILEAGE , city : 32 kmpl , long rides : 37 kmpltyre pressure as recommended by the company , front - 29 , rear - 33 irrespective of the pillion seat occupancy.Competition : duke 250 , cbr 250r , pulsar rs 200 , rc 200 , dominar 400 , fazer 25 and fz 25EDIT : now I have clocked around 4000 kms , When I ride it fast on the highways ( like 110 - 130 ) , keep the engine at higher RPMs and I use lower gears in the city to overtake , engine braking and of course for little fun..Im getting a combined MILEAGE OF AROUND 28 kmpl to 29.6 kmpl ( I calculate mileage by FULL TANK method ) .EDIT 2: I recently did a 600 kms ride got mileage of around 31kmpl only on highways .riding speed was around 100117 kmph all the time.
Find out the list of available Suzuki Bikes.
The ARAI mileage of Suzuki Gixxer 250 is 34 kmpl. The average of the Gixxer 250 is 35 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

The buying experience was smooth and simple, legit all-around best in the 250cc segment, and quite satisfied just a bit on the backfoot on spare parts and service experience in my case. Looks:- 4.5/5Mileage- 30-35 kmpl depending on riding style. No major problem as of yet. Close to 10k on the odor.Cons:- expected slipper clutch at this price, no led blinkers at this price, the addition of USD forks would just make this bike stand out a lot!

Very good bike for commuting and short distances. If you're looking to ride for about 2 hours or more, AVOID this bike because of its horrible seat! I've ridden over 10k km on this and mostly enjoyed it. The fuel efficiency is good @ 35kmpl when riding enthusiastically. When I ride under 75 kmph the mileage is 40 plus. Engine performance is superb and it behaves well. The brakes are adequate and the ABS works well. The suspension is just rugged, hard, and of very average quality. Nothing close to KTMs. The seat design is really bad for long-distance touring. Anything excess of 450 or 500 km a day even on smooth, good roads and you will suffer.

A reliable companion for the road
Sagnik Dey
I have been a proud owner of the suzuki gixxer 250 for over two years, covering more than 16,000 kilometers on various terrains. This bike has proven to be a reliable and powerful companion, offering an exceptional riding experience.Performance and power delivery:The suzuki gixxer 250 impresses with its performance and power delivery. The 250cc engine provides ample torque and acceleration, allowing for quick overtakes and smooth rides on both city roads and highways. The bike maintains stability even at higher speeds, offering a thrilling experience for adrenaline enthusiasts.Riding experience:The gixxer 250 handles exceptionally well, providing confidence and control on different types of roads. Whether navigating through congested city streets or cruising along winding mountain roads, the bike's nimble and responsive nature ensures an enjoyable ride. The suspension setup strikes a good balance between comfort and sportiness, absorbing bumps effectively without compromising the bike's dynamic capabilities.Key features and standout characteristics:One of the standout features of the suzuki gixxer 250 is its sporty and aggressive design, which turns heads wherever i go. The digital instrument cluster provides clear and comprehensive information, including speed, rpm, fuel level, and gear position, ensuring convenience and safety during rides. The led lighting system enhances visibility, both for the rider and other road users.Room for improvement:While the suzuki gixxer 250 offers an overall fantastic experience, there are a few areas that could be improved. The seat cushioning could be slightly softer to enhance long-distance comfort, especially during extended rides. Additionally, the exhaust note, although pleasant, could benefit from a more distinctive and captivating sound.Comfort and ergonomics:The bike's seating position strikes a good balance between sportiness and comfort. During shorter rides, the ergonomics provide a slightly forward-leaning posture, contributing to better control and agility. However, during long rides, the seat could use some extra padding to reduce fatigue and ensure maximum comfort.Fuel efficiency:In terms of fuel efficiency, the suzuki gixxer 250 performs decently. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient bike in its class, it provides a respectable mileage that meets the expectations of most riders. Efficient fuel management and a 12-liter fuel tank allow for decent range before refueling. Conclusion:Overall, the suzuki gixxer 250 has been an exceptional bike for me over the past two years. Its powerful performance, impressive handling, and standout features make it a compelling choice in its segment. Despite a few areas for improvement, such as seat comfort and exhaust note, the bike's reliability and overall riding experience make it a worthy companion for both daily commutes and thrilling adventures.Would i recommend the suzuki gixxer 250? absolutely! if you are seeking a bike that combines power, agility, and style, the suzuki gixxer 250 is undoubtedly worth considering.

1) waiting period of almost 15 days 2) ride mostly comfortably in the city as well as on the highway 3) design is very bulky and sleek from the rear, feels like a fully sports bike, giving the lowest time 0-100 in the segment 4 ) lightweight, easy handling at corners, higher ground clearance, shortest wheelbase5) almost 1.2k per service cost includes engine oil at 3-4k km6) spare availability may be a major con, a slipper clutch is not available, usd folk should be needed in a premium bike.

Excellent bike but poor seat
Amitava Kala
I have ridden it for 1500+ km now. I went on tour last month and travelled 500+ km. 1) vibration - it is minimum. I travelled below 5000 rpm before 1000 km. I did not feel any vibration or annoying vibration at any speed. After 1000 km -At 100 kmph speed in 6th gear there was no vibration at handlebar, there was buzzing vibration in footpeg, but not distracting. I was wearing riding gloves and normal shoes. With riding shoes vibration in footpegs will be less i believe. There was no vibration in seat at any speed.2) mileage - i got 40+ km/l on highway, which is really good.3) fit and finish - excellent4) headlight- very good, no problem at night.5) look- suzuki should have given more colour options for naked gixxer 250. I bought the black one, but wanted a red one, which is not available in naked 250.6) break- little less biting power than what we expect i believe. It is no way near god like breaking in duke bikes.7) horn - ok8) heating issue - practically does not exist. I had running period in peak summer, did not face any issue. Excellent work by suzuki.9) highway stability - good10) handling - good , but definitely not as good as dukes.11) tyre - it works well in most situations, but be careful in slippery roads or sandy roads. I felt it was slipping a little even when i maintained a straight line on sandy road. (i had a tail bag ).12) acceleration - ok, it is not that great but it accelerates in a surefooted way, very good for touring.13) riding comfort - vibration is less that is good ( i sold my old duke 390 because of that). But now the big problem i face in this bike is the seat. The curved seat narrowed down at the front almost like a cycle seat. And the foot pegs are slightly rearward. Now consider duke seat. It is very hard but it is flat and wide. The load of the upper body is taken completely by the pointy hip bones. Although it is vey difficult to seat on it for more than one and a half hours, but the pain vanishes after fifteen twenty minutes. But in gixxer the load is ahead of hip bones because of the narrow seat, slightly rearward foot pegs and slightly lean forward posture. It gives almost similar pain as riding a cycle gives, which is not good. I felt terrible after returning from the tour. I was wearing a riding jacket which weighs around 2.5 kg. This is a racing seat, not for touring.

It's so much of fun to ride this bike in Traffic as well for touring because it has good amount of power in every gear.Best part is , engine is so smooth that I can comfortably ride at 35...38kmph at 6th gear.Longest ride was 450kms in 9 hrs. I didn't feel engine heating. Pillion seat is very uncomfortable and side mirrors are not great.

Though sixth gear is advantage, but the bike gives vibrations at higher speed,( i mean after crossing the speed of 70kmh). Bike gets heated. If we ride it at a constant speed of 80 kmph for more than a hour, this happens to me while going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on highway, for several times. The moving engine parts are also of inferior quality and will get replacement when compared to yamaha fz bike, but pickup, brake system and lighting can be regarded as satisfactory.

An average bike but not a best bike.
Ravi Krishna
Though sixth gear is advantage, but the bike gives vibrations at higher speed,( i mean after crossing the speed of 70kmh). Bike gets heated. If we ride it at a constant speed of 80 kmph for more than a hour, this happens to me while going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada on highway, for several times. The moving engine parts are also of inferior quality and will get replacement when compared to yamaha fz bike, but pickup, brake system and lighting can be regarded as satisfactory.
