  • Great bike for daily city commute

    Gyan R

I bought my new suzuki gixer(carburetted engine) in Feb 2018. Done the first servicing in march 2018 and have done 1000 kms with the bike.I did not go with the sf version since i do not like the concept of headlight not following the handle when it turns. The riding position on the bike is very comfortable and the maneuvering of the bike in the crowded streets is smooth. The engine sounds well refined and responses very fast to the Throttle input. The gear ratios are well designed for the city rides. It picks up from 15kmph to 30kmph on the 3rd gear very effortlessly. Till now i have not felt the need for abs and the front and rear disc brake do the job superb. I had to drive a couple of times during the rains(can't say about the unseasonal rain in bangalore) and the tyres have provided a good road grip and riding confidence. The gear box seemed to be a bit hard before the first service but it has now become buttery smooth. The 35w stock headlight did not seem bad for city driving as the speed rarely touched 70kmph. Being a single commuter in the city driving conditions, i am getting a fuel economy of 45-48 kmpl. I would definitely recommend this bike for a person for daily commute in the city.

  • My perfect choice

    Yadraj Meena

When i was transferred to hill station in odisha, i strongly felt need of a 150+ cc bike. I started my search and review many bikes, took rides of pulsar 160 ns, yamaha fz and finally i reached to tvs suzuki showroom for test drive of suzuki gixxer. The look of bike is very good and most amazing the handling of bike. I felt very confident when i took first ride of gixxer. I don,t say it is the best looking bike but i can say this the best bike in handling and with good performance. I purchased it and took it home after covering 48km distance on hill station. The feeling was amazing while riding it. It would be more attractive it the seat become more stylish and head light become more sporty and attractive. The power and pick up is very good and it runs very smoothly when reach at speed of 60+ and i feel very comfortable riding it on long distance. It has some good feature like on display clock and gear indicator which is very useful for me. Finally i would like to say i love riding it at long distance it makes me happy, comfortable and confident.

  • Carburettor damage in new bike

    Vinod Dilip Vyapari

This is the worst service provided by the suzuki. I have purchased a new suzuki gixxer bike which came along with damaged carburettor. When i visited to service centre they said to me this is not our side issue this is issue from the bike dealer side. And bike dealer said to me contact service centre. I was not expecting such a bad treatment from both sides. Now tell me what should i do? Mrp automobile pvt ltd suzuki service centre in ulhasnagar. Service centre of ulhansnagar. Vision auto dombivali this is the bike dealer.

  • Gixxer

    Karthik

Pros: looks, ride quality, budget friendly. Cons: new stickering, back pillion seat is narrow.I have been planning to buy a 150cc motorcycle. Narrowed criteria between gixxer and apache 160. Since gixxer looked more promising i opted to buy it. Well, i don't like headlamp design where as tvs styling is more aggressive compared to gixxer.

  • Gixxer real beast of the segment. A must buy.

    Gyanesh Upadhyaya

This is my ownership experience of suzuki gixxer special edition after completion of 1 year 4 months. This review would be honest and precise.I would divide my review with pros and cons.Pros1)visual appeal. It looks muscular like a proper street naked bike should look. It looks the best in the 160cc segment. That dual port exhaust grabs attention every time you take the bike out for a spin and sounds exciting.2) engine is the real gem. It is the most smooth and refined bike in the segment. Acceleration is outstanding. The way it accelerates and pulls can scare you considering its just a 155cc bike.Overtaking in this bike is so much of fun, in each gear u open the throttle it takes off effortlessly and pulls with a strong thrust even with a heavy pillion.Gear shifts and crisp and precise. Top speed is around 120 kmph.3)ride and handling balance is excellent. No other bike can handle better than this bike in this segment. And ride quality is phenomenal. The suspension is tuned perfectly for our indian road conditions.4) high speed stability is excellent. It feels so light to maneuver and flick through city traffic. Brakes are too good stops from high speeds within a matter of seconds with abs and dual discs. This has also got the 140mm widest tyres in the segment.5)for such kind of performance , wider tyres...It delivers exceptional fuel efficiency of 50-55 kmpl in city. Build quality of this bike is excellent and feel and quality of switch gear used and top notch. It feels premium. Instrument console is loaded with information.6) in terms of pricing , it undercuts every bike in the segment and offers you everything . Value for money.Cons1)low ground clearance . Issue is only when you are traveling with a pillion on large speed breakers.2) pillion seat comfort is less.. Could have been improved.

  • Good commuter and worth the money.

    Kaustubh Kadam

It is a great commuter motorcycle. Practical and returns a mileage of around 47-49 in the city area and about 50-52 on the highway. Feels ideally powered and has good low end punch for you to overtake and to get a good start. Feels comfy and easy to maneuver. It is very light weight and hence easy to handle. Has a good suspension setup too.

  • Not good

    Nishant

When it was launched i was so excited to get one. After 1 year of waiting i bought it. It was all-rounder bike back then. But after some time it was giving me troubles like low mileage, knocking sound and hard gearshifts. To my surprise after 14000 kms the engine was seized. The showroom guys didn't give me an extended warranty and all the 10000 rupees expense paid by me. I feel like cheated.
