Suzuki Motorcycles India has updated the Burgman Street 125cc scooter to comply with the newest emission norms. The latest iteration of the maxi-scooter-style product now gets an On-Board Diagnostics System that aims to detect and inform faults in the vehicle system. Further, the updated model can run on E20 petrol, having an ethanol blend of up to 20 per cent. Meanwhile, the 2023 Burgman Street retains the 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor from the previous BS6-compliant version. The engine delivers a maximum output of 8.5bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm. Moreover, the 2023 Burgman Street is available in two variants – Standard and Ride Connect Edition.
The changes to the 2023 Suzuki Burgman Street are limited to the addition of new hardware to comply with the new norms. The styling remains unaltered, and the 2023 Burgman Street continues to feature a sharp design along with elements such as an apron-mounted headlight, wide-footboard, fly-screen at the front, apron-integrated front turn indicators, step-up seat, single-seat pillion grabrail, and a side-slung exhaust with heatshield. However, the company has added the new Pearl Matte Shadow Green paint scheme to the palette, and this colour option is available on both variants of the scooter.
Meanwhile, the suspension hardware across the range includes telescopic front forks and a single rear spring. Then, all variants of the Burgman Street are available with a disc brake at the front and a drum setup at the back. The safety net on all versions of this 125cc scooter includes a combined braking system.
The prices and colours vary depending on the paint option selected. The Suzuki Burgman Street rivals the Aprilia SXR 125 in the Indian market. Meanwhile, the products available in the same price range as Burgman Street in the Indian market include the Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR.

Mileage & space = Brugman street 125
Mahesh Telgadi
If you are looking for a daily commute or long drive, I would suggest this scooter. The first reason would be its amazing mileage of 58kmpl which is the most important for Indian customers and the second most important is its pricing. This one comes under the 1.5 lacs segment with such an amazing design of the scooters which also gives the look of a bike from the front view. Along with the design it has the humongous boot space to keep 2 full-size helmets. Which is very much needed if we are travelling with our loved ones. It also has plenty of space on the front side to keep your phone and wallet safe while driving. Well, all in all, this is the best scooter in the segment to date. The only part that I didn't like is its back wheel size which I think is quite small. If it had a bigger wheel, then it would have taken my 5-star rating.

Burgman Street 125

It's the most comfortable and spacious scooter. Build quality is much better even though it is made of plastic. Performance is better and feels safe to drive even at 70 speed (not recommended -just for testing). Parts are better than a Honda scooter. Maintenance is expensive in comparison to TVSService centers are not up to the mark in regards to quality of service.

Don’t buy Burgman street
Shivam Gupta
I have purchased Burgman Street in July 2023 and facing an issue for 2 months, visited the showroom/service centre from where I have purchased it but the problem remains the same they are not able to fix it every time they give some tips and excuses. The main issue is when we slow down the race scooty engine turns off automatically even in the middle of the road, in traffic, or in signals even when we start the switch and push it, it takes time to start. My advice is don’t buy it I have seen many people facing the same problem
