  • Choose suzuki but take good care

    Uday Kulkarni

After using kinetic honda and tvs scooty for many years , my wife decided to buy suzuki access 125, as this was the new bike launched, and the dealer had special offer for teachers, we got the bike within 48 hours of filling the form, making down payment , and after hdfc loan got approved. 1st year, it was a great pleasure riding the bike, excellent pick-up, superb driving experience, good mileage, style and ruggedness all packed in a sleek bike. After 2 years, we started facing problems, due to minor dash, had to replace the front body part. 3rd year, it got wet in rains, and the bike refused to start the next day, we got it repaired by spending rs.1000, as the filter was filled with water and dust. After 2 months, the bike again stopped on my way back home, and refused to start. Now we have send the bike to the service centre and need to replace the block, piston, and crank, costing rs.14000/-,. Service centre had to say this bike needs regular maintenance every 2500 km, and if not serviced and oiled on time, can cause big hole in your pocket.Hence i would say - great bike, choose suzuki, but ensure you take good care.

  • Awesome engine poorly built

    Mithun

I bought this vehicle in 2012 for daily commute. The vehicle was just awesome to ride for the first one year. The issue is with the design of the vehicle. The air inlet of this vehicle is placed so low that if you take your vehicle out when it's raining ,you better be ready for a big bill. The air inlet takes water and dirt to the filter and the vehicle will get jammed. A cools 1500 bucks needs to be spent to get vehicle back to running condition. the mileage if you are riding in moderate traffic condition is hardly 30-35.Not good if you are looking for a vehicle for daily commute.

  • Never again suzuki

    Syed Ilyas

It has been a pathetic experience with suzuki access 125, sep engine. This engine has a manufacturing defect which the showroom isn't ready to accept or address. Since the day i purchased the vehicle has some vibration in engine as if some parts are rubbing hard at each other. There is also smell of heat due to friction. But showroom says this is normal. Wtf, i have never seen any vehicle having such vibration even if it is 40 years old, and mine has done just 800 km. Suzuki has become such a bad brand. If u see complaints regarding this new access 125 there are tons of it online. Don't buy this vehicle as you'll end up with disaster. Tvs and hero vehicles are way better than these japanese scrap made vehicles.

    Style good no issues.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox smmoth no nois, fuel economy is bad if you love to fly on road or else its ok 45 to 50 kmpl. Gearbox is great no comparision best in the scooter segment

ride quality & handling unmatchable ride quality and handling better than all other scooter in market.

Final words if you love to drive fast and furious go for it. If you worry about average, wear and tear than this is not for you.

Areas of improvement airfilter, slighty bigger handle required, broader body(width). Require to reduce seat height.

    Pros

pickup / control on high speed/ speed 94 kmpl/ self is too smart just click and drive,

    cons

milage is low / maintanance is high

  • Engine is not good

    Kanupriya

Engine needs to be done after 20000kms. I have been using it since 2010..And after every 20000kms with regular service...Within 2-3 months... The engine fails, Expensive spare parts and unprofessional attitude of the mechanics at dealer...As experienced at tripathi enterprises, etwah. So be careful in choosing your ride. Tvs jupiter or honda activa is far a better option.

  • A sturdy bike suitable for women

    Asma Hasan

I purchased this bike for my personal use. I had few choices and i wanted to go for the best bike in my view. I tried checking for reviews but it wasn't much help. Price & technology wise, most scooters were almost the same. Finally, it came down to activa, access & scooty. While activa was recommended by many, i chose access. This bike has been my steady companion for the past seven years. Never broke down, mileage is good, electrical equipment works fine, battery lasted really long till now, even the tyres are still good after nearly 40,000 kms. Bike has good space under the seat, the seat itself is comfortable. However, front shocks could have been better. This bike can have some additional features like a hand-brake or something to keep the vehicle from sliding front or back when engine is switched off, it would be really handy for women. Ladies can choose this bike confidently for its reliability & rock-solid performance.

Access 125 is the best scooter for every one to use daily basis and it has more efficiency of engine. At an extent we can go a ride of 150kms continuously without stopping the vehicle to cool it's engine. As it's engine is fairly modified it is good for rider to buy it without any other confirmation about access from others. So that you can experience good and enough speed upto 120kmph... All the best

  • A stable bike that is grossly under-rated due to misconceptions.

    Khalid Hasan

I purchased my first suzuki bike, the suzuki access 125 in 2012 as i liked the looks & was satisfied by its performance when i took a test drive. Many people advised against my choice warning me that it had no resale value. I disregarded all such advise because in my view, buying a bike for its resale value is like getting married for the benefits of divorce. My bike turned out to be good, with no major repairs required till now. Even the maintenance free battery lasted over 6 years. I faced a few problems like the carburettor leaking (which was because of improper handling by roadside service centres & not a part failure). Regular servicing & maintenance will ensure a trouble free life of this vehicle. I only faced one issue but that was an extremely grave problem. While driving the bike one day, the bearing in the gearbox broke & the rear wheel jammed (dead lock) causing the vehicle to screech to a halt. Fortunately, i wasn't going very fast nor turning & there weren't any vehicles behind me else it could have resulted in a terrible accident. This is a very serious issue & i hope suzuki must have resolved this issue in their latest bikes. The electrical system, tyres, seat, storage space etc are good but suspension wears down quickly & after a few years, it is not really comfortable on our roads at speeds over 35-40. Except for the headlight bulb once, i never had to replace any other bulb. Servicing at suzuki centres feels good, the staff usually is courteous & gives acceptable advise & the service bills are not very high. My advise to potential buyers would be to stick to authorised service centres unless you personally know the mechanic who will attend to your bike. Finally, now i have decided to sell my bike & true to the initial advise i got, the bike doesn't command a good resale value. However that is mainly due to hearsay & not because of any problems in the bike itself.
