The Scram 440 is a scrambler style motorcycle that is based on the now-discontinued Himalayan 411. The Scram 440 also replaces the Scram 411 while bringing more to the table.
Starting with the 440 moniker, the bike is powered by a new 443cc, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox. With the bump in displacement and the sixth gear, the bike finally has the ability to maintain comfortable highway speeds.
In terms of design, the Scram 440 looks like the Scram 411, save for the new colours and graphics. The bike is available in two variants- Force and Trail. The latter gets wire-spoke wheels but with tube type tyres. The Force variant gets tubeless tyres mounted on alloy wheels.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks and a monoshock, while braking is handled by a single disc at both ends.
The bike is available in the following colours- Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue. In terms of features it has an LED headlight, switchable dual-channel ABS, and a revised front brake for better stopping power.
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 goes up against the Yezdi Scrambler and the Triumph 400X.

Smooth Comfortable and Practical Bike

I recently experienced the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and found it smooth and comfortable to ride. The engine delivers good low end power making city riding easy and it remains stable on highways. The upright riding position and suspension handle bad roads well. Braking feels confident and controlled. The bike looks rugged and premium, and with Royal Enfield’s wide service network maintenance should be hassle free. Overall it’s a practical and well-balanced motorcycle for daily use and occasional rides.

"Scram 440 Real Talk: 7500km Later, Still My Hill-Conquering Buddy!"

I've had my Scram 440 for about 8 months now, put around 7,500 km on it, mostly commuting in the city and some weekend rides up into the hills. It's my first Royal Enfield, and honestly, it's been a solid daily rider that puts a grin on my face more often than not. That 443cc lump is a torque monster right from the low end – no need to row through gears in traffic, just crack it open, and it pulls like a tractor without drama. Highway cruising at 80-100 km/h feels planted and comfy, though it starts buzzing a bit past 110 if you're pushing it. Mileage hovers around 28-32 km/l in mixed use, which is decent for this kind of thumper, and it sips more like 35+ on steady runs. The Gearbox is clunky, especially 1st to 2nd in stop-go; you gotta be deliberate or it'll false neutral on ya. Headlight's dim for night rides – swapped in an LED bulb myself for cheap. Services have been painless so far, around 1,500 bucks each time with honest techs who don't BS you.

The RE Scram 440 feels like a heavy and exotic-looking machine of looks. This solid crossover bike can fulfil your daily needs as well as your adventurous mind. The only issue is lower fuel efficiency, which can be compromised by its aggressive look and feel. Once you reach at 4 gears and above, the real feel of SCRAM will come out of it. And you will never stop your journey once you ignite the fuel.

For Indian pathetic roads, it's perfect. Not value for money. Sitting height is good and comfortable only if the height of the rider is 180cm or more (Experienced riders can ride any bike comfortably). Weight is a little bit on the higher side. Service and maintenance are easy and affordable, considering the performance.

We purchased a scream 440 1month ago, smooth engine performance, exquisite sound, sporty level torque power, unbelievable, it's nice, city drive very comfortable, and highway driving really good. Mileage is very bad per liter, got only 25. Otherwise, very nice and awesome looks like a wow force gray.

Exprience with scram 400
Tarun Jain
I recently got my hands on the Scram 440, and I must say, it has been quite an impressive experience overall. First things first, the design of this machine feels sturdy and built for serious performance. It’s not one of those flimsy products you often find in the market; the build quality feels solid and durable, which gives me confidence it will last a long time. When it comes to performance, the Force 440 doesn’t disappoint. The power it delivers is perfect for both beginners and intermediate users. The motor runs smoothly and gives consistent speed, making it really easy to control during usage. I found it particularly useful for a range of tasks, whether I was using it for light work or something a bit more heavy-duty. The machine didn’t overheat even after prolonged use, which is a big plus for me.One thing I really liked is the ergonomic design. The handle feels comfortable in hand, and the weight is balanced well, so I didn’t feel fatigued even after using it for longer periods. The controls are intuitive – nothing too complicated or over-engineered. Just simple buttons and switches that work exactly how they should. That said, no product is perfect. The only minor downside I noticed was that the noise level is a bit higher than I expected. It’s not unbearable, but it’s noticeable, especially if you are in a quiet neighborhood or workspace. Also, the price is slightly on the higher side, but considering the performance and durability, I feel it’s justified.Overall, the Scram Force 440 is a solid choice if you’re looking for something reliable, powerful, and easy to use. Whether you’re a hobbyist or need it for semi-professional work, it does the job well without any major complaints. I’d definitely recommend it.

Awesome bike it look like tank build

Bike is awesome performance op. It's an underrated bike It can be used for offroad but it is too much weight It gives 20-25 kmpl. The Royal Enfield Scram 440 offers a refined, beginner-friendly riding experience, blending city, highway, and light off-road capabilities with a comfortable, stable ride. Its improved engine and six-speed gearbox provide strong low-end torque and smooth cruising at highway speeds. Key features include dual-channel ABS with rear switchability, an LED headlight, and a semi-digital console with a USB port. While its handling is predictable and its comfort is decent, improvements are noted in the feel of the front brake lever, the design of the seat for long rides, and some minor aspects of the bike's fit and finish. It excels as a versatile, value-for-money option for both new riders and experienced ones seeking a practical, no-frills motorcycle for daily commuting and touring.

Royal Enfield loss max of its reputation with this customer Service team is the worst
43 weeks ago
Biswajit Pradhan
I booked on 25 Jan, the bike reached the dealer on 26 Feb, paid a visit, and PDI was done, The loan was sanctioned, but the company refused to deliver showing technical issues the bikes are being recalled for engine replacement, launched in hurry to tackle KTM 250/390, but failed, now No sign of delivery, no one knows nothing if new bikes are being manufactured or what is happening, just a ridiculous thing from RE, they must mention clearly what is happening back. So I thought of buying a KTM 250 Adventure.

The bike was launched without proper testing, was recalled the bike was not delivered due to technical issues. Pathetic customer support, neither the sales executives nor the managers were helpful in this regard, didn’t even mention the exact reasons for recalling, compromising the reputation of RE.

this is a good bike but why can't I buy it from Bikewala, or have any offers from this platform itself rest of the bike is decent but might switch to EV sometime soon. Rent it, or own it later. Flexible vibes with zero commitment stress are what I need, even with subsidies, the high upfront cost of EVs remains a tough pill to swallow, especially for mass-market consumers. It’s one thing to build an EV that performs well, but it’s another to make it affordable for the average Indian. Recent data shows that nearly half of EV owners are considering switching back to their old internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
