  • Worst booking policy.

    Dr Jwalant Joshi

I use to like this bike very much since it's launch and after test drive, I booked one. Given token amount and fixed buying price in January. There was waiting of around 4 months which I have accepted. But after 2 months of waiting price hiked. Dealer demanded revised price at the time of delivery, said this was company policy!! Worst policy I have ever seen. Bikes are royal but company policy is not royal. The biggest irony is that, this was not told to me at the time of booking!!They have limitations in production, and for their limitations company punishing customer. Please deal cautiously during booking.

  • Not so good

    Shashi Prakash

I bought this bike in oct 202. I use it for my daily commute. After 6 months the performance started going down. Multiple issues with its new techno features. When I visited for the 3rd servicing they asked me for a huge amount. As per them, there are multiple issues with the engine and other functions. I am just fed up. If you are looking to buy out a new bike I would suggest checking some other options.

    Bonaventure

Pros? You will be spending your money on re full of features. And those greens are worth it. Superb look, tail light looks classy.
Cons? well, the front footpeg (right) are nearer to the exhaust pipe. Sandals left the burnt marks on the exhaust. It's not easy to remove those stains. Riding this machine with slippers or sandals might be a bad idea, will burn your damn foot. And wear shoes which have thick sole or watch your foot sometimes while you ride.

  • Blindly go for it....

    Kathir Velan

I just booked this bike on nov 16 and unfortunately due to heavy rain i couldn't take a test ride on that day. So i took it today..the moment when you push the start switch the initial tump will make you feel like its a huge machine and it will grab everyone's attention on you. And initial pickup is awesome and even at a fourth gear you can feel the throttle response very quick. And now coming to brakes dept ..RE has done a great job it.. it gives us good feedback and stopping distance is also good and crisp and sharp too. it's far better than my classic 350. You can easily cruse at a speed of 80-100 kmph beyond that you can but u can feel the stress on engine. May be after first service it may get increased to 110 kmph... The clutch of this bike is also light it could be nice if RE provided slipper clutch in it.. now coming to sitting posture i am 5.6ft its really very comfortable like you are sitting on a sofa and ridding but in city i felt some difficulty that is foot peg position... Am sure it will become an habitat once u ride for weeks or some days . In my view its not a problem. Hope you guys found this helpful...

  • Honest review with practical pros and cons.

    Digvijay Gogoi

Honest review. Took a long delivery period of almost 3 months, the problem is with then Royal Enfield dealership and slow production which failed to deliver the bike in their given waiting period. I was not a fan of royal Enfield before, because the 350's vibrate a lot and their engines were not refined like other brands such as Jawa etc. But after I rode meteor my view towards them change. It got no vibrations, even better then other brand bikes. The engine is much refined. Seating posture is comfortable and prevents back pain. You can ride hundreds of kilometer without breaks. The engine doesn't overheat and produces good amount of power a low rpm. Crushing at 100km/h at 5th gear is very smooth but no recommended beyond that as the engine struggles a bit. The mileage is quite good. I tested it and got around 39.2 km/l which is near equal to dealer claimed 41km/l . The looks of this bike is quite stunning with a neo-retro touch. The led DRL looks too stunning. The features are good. The turn by turn navigation works accurately and we got a USB charging port as well. Service and maintenance cost is average as the other 350 bikes of re. Conclusion Pros - comfortable seating posture, mileage is good, refined engine, strong dual cradle chassis, broader tires provides better grip, well balanced despite its heavy weight
Cons - halogen headlamp and indicators, stiff back suspension , squeaking break noise, small pillion seat.

Re should start producing vehicles that do not have major flaws. Meteor 350 is the bike I got a year ago and I regret purchasing this crap, it’s hardly 14 months old , the engine is emitting heat like hell, and one could hardly place the foot over the footrest while driving in traffic, this vehicle couldn’t withstand the commute of 12 to 15 km distance and start pumping out the heat, you would feel like the foot is beside a stove next one is their sensors, the gear numbers don’t display correctly and now the entire display vanished, indicators don’t ignite. Seems this vehicle is not fit for the roads, maybe the junkyard would be the right place for it.

I have had the best experience so far as it doesn't compromise on looks and the design as well. Overall the bike is perfect if you wanna tour as well as city ride. Budget friendly and no complaints on how comfortable it is . It replaces the thunderbird so if you are are a thunderbird fan go ahead.

    Keerthi

Just own this bike today, royal enfield improved a lot, they really worked on vibration. Meteor is a vibration free vehicle from re. Finally when you riding this bike, you feel like you are flying than riding. Pickup was like roadrunner. Cost wise bit high where you can get bajaj dominar again re have own fans and loyal customer.

First of all am new to Royal Enfield family. Earlier i was using Yamaha. After lot of research whether to buy honda or RE... Finally i bought RE. New J series engine is just amazing less vibration, good performance. After interceptor METEOR is one of the best bike from RE. Good for both city and long rides. Pillion seat also comfortable.
