I used to have this Bullet Electra 350 back in 2014 and I kept it for about 2 yearsIts tube gets burst without any sharp thing and the self start of the bike is so pathetic that I got it changed twice from the company and I got so annoyed that I will never ever buy a Royal Enfield. Now coming to the Interceptor 650I bought it in 2022 thinking that it may have got better and it is better but not reliable at all.I loved the bike initially but one day I got stuck in the middle of nowhere as the bike will not start. There was a problem with the fuel pump. The company kept my bike for about 2-3 days and the fuel pump was replaced under warranty Royal Enfield is not reliable at allI have had a Yamaha Fazer and never faced a single issue during the ownership and also a Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.These bikes are so reliable that they will make you reach your destination

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 – A Perfect Blend of Classic Style and Modern PerformanceThe Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is one of the most admired motorcycles in its segment, known for bringing back the golden era of classic motorcycling with a touch of modern engineering. Launched as part of Royal Enfield’s 650 twin series, it has successfully redefined the brand’s global image.Design and Build QualityThe Interceptor 650 carries a retro design inspired by the 1960s British roadsters. Its round headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank with knee recesses, and twin-pod analog cluster give it an authentic vintage appeal. The build quality is top-notch, with a solid metal construction and excellent fit and finish. The upright and comfortable riding posture makes it suitable for both city rides and long highway journeys.Engine and PerformancePowering the bike is a 648cc parallel-twin, air-oil-cooled engine that produces 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. The engine is incredibly smooth, with a refined and linear power delivery that’s perfect for relaxed cruising. The 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch ensures effortless gear shifts. Whether you’re riding in city traffic or hitting open roads, the Interceptor feels stable, torquey, and surprisingly quick.Ride and HandlingThe bike’s double-cradle frame, developed in collaboration with Harris Performance, provides impressive balance and cornering confidence. The suspension setup—telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-charged shocks at the rear—absorbs bumps well. Even though it weighs around 202 kg, the Interceptor handles beautifully once in motion. The Pirelli Phantom tyres offer great grip and stability.Comfort and ErgonomicsThe upright seating position, wide handlebars, and well-padded seat make it comfortable for long hours. However, the seat height (804 mm) might be slightly tall for shorter riders. The exhaust note from the twin pipes is deep and pleasing, adding to the overall riding experience.Mileage and PracticalityWith a mileage of around 22–25 km/l, it isn’t built for economy—but for the experience. The 13.7-litre fuel tank offers a decent range for touring. The Interceptor also demands regular maintenance, but nothing unusual for a twin-cylinder motorcycle.

Got INT 650 in my circle. Beautiful sound just like the Triumph or Ducati with AEWs. Took it to Jaiselmer in May on a 600+ Km ride in a day, easy to cruise at 120-130 kmph all day long. No heating issue or anything of such sort. You may get tired though. Pros.Looks simple though. Good tank range.Enough of spares/accessories available.Reliable engine and chassisNo rusting issues. Cons.Too heavy, impractical for city uses. The front looks like Meteor.Poor sales Service centre. Better find a decent RE mechanic. Uncomfortable seating.Break bite not adequate. Front break fluid pump keeps failing.

Tips for other riders
Avoid riding on bad roads. Change OEM CEAT tyres, those are slippery not so reliable. Use Motul or Liqui Moly with recommended grade. Bar riser or taller handle bars can reduce a lot of stress.
