Best Adventure Bike for Indian Roads – Himalayan 450 Review
8 weeks ago
Akshay
I recently bought the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and my experience has been fantastic so far. The buying experience at the showroom was smooth, and the staff explained all the features clearly. The bike looks bold and rugged, perfect for adventure touring and long rides. The riding experience is excellent. The new 450cc engine feels powerful and refined compared to older models. It performs very well on highways as well as rough roads. Suspension is comfortable and absorbs bumps easily, which makes it ideal for Indian road conditions. The riding posture is upright and comfortable for long journeys. In terms of maintenance, Royal Enfield service centres are easily available, and servicing costs are reasonable for this segment. Regular chain lubrication, timely oil changes and proper tyre pressure help maintain smooth performance.Pros: Powerful engine, great suspension, comfortable touring bike, modern features like TFT display and navigation.Cons: Slightly heavy in city traffic, and mileage could be better.Overall, the Himalayan 450 is a perfect choice for riders who love touring and adventure rides.

Own a Kamet White. Looks bigger and neat than other colours, my personal opinion. The riding stance, comfort, good ground clearance, enough power and decent mileage makes it a perfect adventure touring bike in the price range. But having a tube tyres is going to be a concern for the riders. Go for it.

It is a big dream to have a royal enfield bike, especially a Himalayan. It became true in 2019. Its look, engine power, seating, all features makes feeling guilty as a Himalayan owner. It makes riding an unforgettable experience. Its high-suspension brake system provides a smooth and comfortable ride.450 cc engine delivers ample power and torque , suitable for on-road and off-road adventures.

Lovely and surprising engine from royal Enfield.

Harsh
The buying experience is good it has a long waiting time of around 2 to 3 months. The best part of this bike is the riding experience after 1st service you definitely gonna love this machine. The side and back look are awesome but the front look is average performance is also good after 3000rpm it doesn't feel like any royal Enfield bike. its main cons are very bad build quality. and the joystick is not enjoyable for sure. The overall bike is awesome.

Performance, Design and comfort was awesome compared to all other adventure bikes in the segment. They are some technical issues on which RE has to take care about. The main issue is about the joystick buttons which feel very uncomfortable to operate while riding. Shakeupjaw is the super smooth. Heat management is very well. I rode 870kms in a day but there's not heat issues on the bike.

Why the Himalayan Won My Heart
Rakesh
I have been riding the Royal Enfield Himalayan base model for the last 1 year, and during this period I have completed nearly 30,000 kilometres. Overall, my experience with this bike has been extremely positive and memorable. Riding has been my passion for the past 15 years, and for me, a motorcycle should offer complete control, confidence, and comfort to the rider. The Himalayan delivers exactly that. Whether I am riding on highways, city roads, or rough and uneven terrain, the bike feels stable and well-balanced. The upright riding posture and comfortable seat make long rides less tiring, even after many hours on the road. The engine performance is smooth and dependable, especially on long journeys. The bike handles bad roads and unexpected conditions with ease, which is one of the biggest strengths of the Himalayan. Braking and suspension performance are also reliable, giving me confidence at different speeds and road conditions. What I appreciate the most is how connected the bike feels to the rider. It responds well to inputs and allows me to ride the way I have always believed a motorcycle should be ridden. Over the past year, this bike has not only been a machine but a true riding companion for me. Owning the Himalayan has been a proud moment, and I am genuinely happy with my decision. This bike has strengthened my love for riding even more. I now have a dream to upgrade and buy the top model of the Himalayan very soon, and I am confident I will achieve it.Thank you, Royal Enfield, for creating a motorcycle that truly understands a rider’s passion and spirit.

Its value for money and looks are awesome as well as performance but when you go on a long drive and sit with two people then not feel comfortable and face some problems. And it's my humble request to Royal Enfield to please fix this problem because when we buy it and think it will fill our all needs related to bikes and it does not fulfill our needs then feel some insecurities.

The 1st year students: we do whatever we want.

My friend and I were both in the first-year students and we thought we should plan a trip. We planned to go to Sikkim West. After planning, we had a Himalayan bike which was absolutely fantastic, absolutely fabulous, when we started the trip, we were in the first year. We planned a trip and went to Sikkim West to the lakes which are very interesting to see from above. We all know that it is not only important to study, but also to live life along with studies, that is why every year we make a plan and organise a trip on which we go to North Sikkim and other places. This is my experience and my memory.

Himalayan 450 - A more of tourer and less of off roader
1 year ago
Rahul Padhi
The bike for me felt natural for my riding triangle. The weight you feel till you switch it on, once on it, it just feels normal and manageable. The initial torque is missing, but it goes with the character of short strokes, the bike opens up after 3500 rpm, and post that till 8000, I can say it's just magic. The bike can take up potholes and uneven Indian roads, but I wouldn't recommend taking this on an off road track. Treat it as a go-anywhere bike where roads are bad.

Bike for all roads

The Best Bike ever released by Royal Enfield

S Sri Saran
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is an adventure touring motorcycle that has been praised for its improved performance, comfort, and handling over its predecessor, the Himalayan 411. Here's a breakdown of its key aspects:Riding Experience: * Increased power from the 450cc engine makes highway cruising more comfortable and enjoyable. * Improved suspension offers a smoother ride on rough roads and off-road trails. * More agile handling makes navigating tight corners and city traffic easier.Looks and Performance: * Retains the classic Himalayan design with a few modern touches. * The new engine delivers 40 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque for better acceleration and passing power. * Brakes provide strong stopping power with a bit of flex in the forks noticeable at times.Servicing and Maintenance: * Royal Enfield service network is widespread, making maintenance convenient. * The bike is known for its reliability and relatively simple mechanics.Pros: * More powerful engine * Improved comfort and handling * Better on-road performance * More capable off-roadCons: * Vibrations at certain RPM ranges * Soft suspension for some riders * Might feel tall for shorter ridersOverall, the Himalayan 450 is a compelling option for adventure touring enthusiasts looking for a motorcycle that can handle both paved roads and off-road excursions.
