4 years ago by Albin Roy1,540 viewsRoyal enfield's royal engineers never acknowledged it till my all free services expired.I kept on adjusting my driving with bike . Which actually enhanced my driving skills. Royal enfield provide poor quality of spare parts.Beyond 80 kmpl the bike looses its cool & vibrates like hell. 70 - 80 kmpl is the sweet range.You need to maintain the bike more than your wife . Maintenance cost is also high .Mark my words. The body catches rust very easily, the electric cabling work is very very . Very shoddy. Re uses duct tape in pales under headlight to bundle cable! .Can you believe that?!gears are not at all smooth, and will get stuck frequently. The pickup is sluggish post 80kmpl . It's tough.Electric start will off with in an year of your purchase even for the 500cc ones. The problem is the electric startup kit quality that re provides.Its made unnecessarily heavy. Although it didn't mattered much for me. The rear view mirror vibrates along with front fork.Good points:-the bike is an eye candy . Usually you will notice onlookers on road. We Indians(including myself) feel proud about owning one. I don't know why . As i said eye candy if all parts of the bike works fine, the ride is rock stable. But that doesn't happen.Every mechanic in the world can repair your bike. Including yourself. No complex chip controlled stuff at least for classic 350, electra & tb.( for 500 cc ones fuel injection is a challenge). It's a very mechanical bike. All nuts and bolts.Resale value is good. I sold it at rs 70k after 5 yrs. You won't get this kind of return on any other bike. Re is surviving in India because of zero competition in this segment. Just wait till some other company comes up to compete. People are ready to pay more. But still don't get the quality . Re doesn't care about its fan followers expectations.Buy a bullet only if you are passionate about cruising long traffic free distances . Its not at all a city bike. Its not a pick up bike. It's very comfortable to ride and get a mileage of 40-42 in cities . It also have a better quality which gives us a wonderful ride . Overall this bike is wonderful .1) buying experience is good.2) riding experience is like a king royal enfield all bikes are best and hard of steel material. Its look like a small tank.3) its a look is like a hulk. Performance is best and well for all season. And its like a strong people = strong bike all the material is hard of steel. 4) servicing and maintenance is cheap than other bike brand. And long time no damage in bike.5) all the buyers visit one time in nearest royal enfield showroom and test drive for royal enfield bikes.The bully will throw out high power at lower rpm.. Making easier to climb up the hilly roads. Stable and rocking power delivery by the engine. Only thing that nerds you will be the vibrations. That too can be damped easily by the right gear shifting ratio. Make the proper gear shift ratio that will be in sync with you and your machine from the beginning itself. This will ensure reduced vibrations and engine bedding as well. I'm getting mileage of around 47-50 in mixed riding under city, streets and highways. And overall performance is very satisfied for me. And pillion seat might have been better.Starting with the buying experience my dealer was a soniya motors in thane there were many up and down like there no proper attention to your concerns they are busy with their own work won't even approach you personally but after all that got my bike perfectly delivered.....Riding experience is good unless the bike vibrates very much which is common issue in royal enfield but if you bear that the whole level of comfort either for the rider or pillion offered by royal enfield in this bike is just awesome.... About the performance and looks the light matte finish of the bike is awesome and the chrome exhaust is like a icing on the cake... The bike generates a good amount of power and make a smooth ride even with your healthy friends... But jokes apart the bike drives like butter on hot knife....I have not owned any royal enfield before so don't know about the service and maintenance but one thing is sure the chrome is sure gonna need super maintenance..... Pros:dual disc brake, matte finish paint, reliability of royal enfield, stability.Worth waiting for this bike but the waiting period is so much irritating . The first ride of my own royal enfield classic is like raiding a bull with a rare wheel disc brake nice handling. I don't go more then 80kmph speed so i do not find any vibration issues. Maintenance cost is less then the old classic due to absence of drum breaks .
