Royal Enfield has commenced the deliveries of one of its newest offerings, the Bear 650 across India. The scrambler version of the Interceptor 650 was launched on 5 November.

| Transmission | 6 Speed Manual |
| Kerb Weight | 216 kg |
| Fuel Tank Capacity | 13.7 litres |
| Seat Height | 830 mm |
Royal Enfield has finally unveiled one of their most awaited motorcycles – the Interceptor Bear 650. This motorcycle is based on the Interceptor 650 platform but gets a host of changes to suit the scrambler nature.
In terms of styling, the Bear 650 looks far more aspirational and cooler than the Interceptor and a lot of credit goes to the paint scheme and also the exhaust system along with the tyres. The scrambler-styled seat and number board on the side panels add a nice flavour. The lights are LED throughout and wheel sizes are now different. These spoke wheels get new MRF Nylorex off-road tyres. Sadly, there are no tubeless spoke wheels on offer.
The Bear 650 gets Showa USD forks as seen on the Shotgun but the internals are quite different. The overall suspension travel is higher than the Interceptor and as a result of this, the seat height has increased. The rest of the cycle parts like the brakes are from the Interceptor, but the front brake disc size is larger. There’s dual-channel ABS as standard, and the rear ABS can be switched off for off-road purposes. This scrambler also gets a full-colour TFT screen with an inbuilt navigation system.
The Bear 650 gets the same 650cc parallel-twin motor which makes 47bhp of peak power and 57Nm of maximum torque, which is almost 5Nm more than the Interceptor 650. There’s a new two-into exhaust system which has got the weight down marginally.
The Interceptor Bear 650 will be sold in a total of five colours, with each of these colours priced at different price points. Royal Enfield will launch this bike on 5 November and our review will also go live on the same day.

Gear down shifting is hard,Faulty fuel gauge,(Visited showroom multiple times, but issue not resolved).Better RE company provides alloys in some variant.Once tube tyres get puncture in out side the city where no puncture shop is available, u feel like hell.Brake paddle is very near to engine, chances of burning shoes and leg.

Bear-650: Unique work-horse

Being an owner of legendary buller-350 for 13 years this was going to be an upgrade from castle to scyscraper, from bull to bear!! Riding Bear-650 is like watching action packed movie, you dont want to miss a beat; pacy, thrilling experience. It will make sure that it stays with you even after you left it in the parking area. Immense torque and power, a bit stiffer on suspension but you will get used to it and I think that stubbornness is what makes Bear the Bear. Go for it, if you want fun and thrill and not to forget that feeling towering road presence on road while overtaking, making your moves.

Torky Monster

This is my first bike above 500cc. Earlier had rode Jupiter, Hornet 160R, Pulsar 180.Positives - Torky Engine and you get instant response once you pull the accelerator . Good mileage - I get around 20 in city and 26 in highway and i am happy with an overall mileage of around 22 kms .Posture is commanding, since bike is really heavy it’s well planted and you feel quote confident while riding at high speed. The new instrument cluster is good, you have maps connect, other info over Wingman is also good. The seat is quite better than the previous interceptor as I have rode the old one once 300 kms and my back started paining which doesn’t happen on this one. Negatives - Headlight - throw is ok ok for city , for highway riding at 100 plus kmph you need a good light. Got madog lights and it works well. Tube tubeless setup - setup is Tubless tyres with tube , looking at bike weight if it’s punctured , you are dead man. It’s would be a nightmare owing to fact that bike doesn’t have centre stand. Very poor of moving out center stand. If it was pure Tubless, the center stand if not there can also be managed.Digital console fuel gauge - this gauge works on its mood. Sometimes it would show full and then all of sudden low fuel . Wish RE could have worked on this . I understand that it’s been also same with interceptor. So, you need to keep an eye on it and fill the tank once it shows half tank to avoid any issues. Overall , it’s a very good bike. It’s like loving wife which complains but then you love her and cannot live without her, that’s my personal feeling. I understand lot of people saying that it’s a 4.5- 4.6 lakhs bike but one needs to understand factory dispatch price is itself Around 2.6 lacs and then you have 75-80k gst chat and then road tax of 73k In Bengaluru and then insurance of around 20-25 k. So given that price , the bike is really a good value for money. It would have been an excellent value if it had spoke tubeless rims .

Best product from Royal Enfield

Prozy
The performance of this bike is on par with the Royal Enfield Interceptor, but when riding in the city, you can really feel that extra torque it delivers, a noticeably punchier ride compared to both the GT and Interceptor. One of the standout features of this twin-cylinder model is its single muffler system with a resonator, which produces a much more refined and aggressive exhaust note than typical twin-muffler setups. On the tech front, this bike takes things to the next level. It comes with an integrated GPS (offered as a paid service called Wingman) that allows you to track your bike’s location from anywhere in the world. Beyond basic tracking, it monitors your riding habits, alerting you if you’ve ridden aggressively or applied the brakes harshly. It also includes a GPS-based digital speedometer and sends real-time notifications whenever the ignition is turned on or off.

Best 650

Paramasamy Muthukrishnan
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is the smartest 650 choice for riders over 6ft who don’t want to follow the crowd—its seat height, riding ergonomics, and scrambler style make it ideal for tall riders who want comfort and uniqueness. The Classic 650, Super Meteor 650, and Himalayan 450 also fit tall riders but tend to be bulkier or trendier; the Bear 650 offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and distinct personality

Boring retro experimental bike

While seeing this bike I get quite confused with GT but when I got this bike have seen it my father like it as he is fan of RX 100 expending rupees 5 lakhs on this bike is such a waste of money and it's a experimental bike it's getting heated frequently and this is the month of March don't know how I will handle this in summers literally I have to carry a bag of water to cool its engine I have literally started my EMI of 20000 in it with a salary of just 50000 and now I regretting so before purchasing please take a wise decision.
