    From amazing to failing!
Got the scooter delivered after a delay of 6 months (canceled my ather booking for this). This buggy broke down on the road within the first month after delivery. Since then, broken 5 times more and left me stranded in the middle of the road each time. Promised roadside assistance takes ages to come (and sometimes doesn't ever come).
Just reached 3300 km on the odometer but I curse my stars for even considering this piece of junk as our backup ride because the backup itself needs backup.
If you're considering ola, please don't. Just stick to their cab service. They attempted to be a good copycat for their first venture which worked. This did not.

  • Don't buy ola electric scooter

    Karansingh H Rathod

Don't buy ola electric scooter it is a waste of money you will not get the proper range as per the company's claim totally poor service customer care and service station employees are not supportive. I bought this scooter ola s1 pro and in the first week I faced a lot of problems like display and range problems, I went to the service station twice but my problem is not resolved still I am facing the same problem range problem and display problem so as per my advice and bad experience of ola electric scooter don't buy this scooter.

  • A green revolution at a fantastic price and value

    Kshitij

Got the scooter delivered on Jan 3rd, 2022.
Payment process : was one of the first early adopters - reserved her for 500 on july 23. 2 months later, paid an advance of 20k, and got an invite to take the test ride 15 days later. Paid the final amount in October, and received the delivery window of December 15-31. The ola representative called in December end for final confirmation and soon received the intimation of insurance and registration payment from icici lombard and rto respectively. Home delivered in a mini truck.
    Idv on insurance : 155400
    Actual cost : 197400 (ex showroom 163549, smart card - 200, postal fee - 50, registration - free, zero dep insurance - 7632, portable charger - 9000, performance upgrade - 17000)
    Fame ii subsidy : 59550 (15000 per kwh - 15000*3.97)
    Maharashtra state subsidy : 29850 (5000 per kwh - 5000*3.97 = 19850 + 10000 additional)
    Total subsidy discount : 89400
Effective on road price : 108000
Real world range : 135 kms in normal, 120 km in sports, 95 km in hyper
Arai claimed range : 181 kms
Design language : a big fan, front leds are as powerful as a dominar's and cute like wall e's face! it's parent company etergo won the german design award in 2020, so there's that too! floorboard isn't flat, but compensates by providing a 36lt boot space, that can fit 2 half face helmets, and 1 full face ls2 ece helmet sideways. Turn indicators chime through the in built speakers. Display is 7". Stock horn is typical road runner type (90s kids relate?)
Riding : very agile, planted in corners, thick 120 section mrfs provide good grip. Seat height is 790mm and well padded and you sit taller than the traffic (i'm 6 feet). Motor whines while accelerating (it's addictive). The bugs of the beta software have been fixed, and now the scooter runs a stable os.
    Performance : 0-40 : 3 seconds, 0-60 : 5 seconds, top speed : 115 kmph, torque : 58nm (accelerates in hyper mode arguably as fast as a dominar 400/ duke 250)
Charging : likes to take it in the ass through a 750w portable charger. Charging time : 6.5 hours. 6amp connection taken from home.
    Running costs : 4.54km/rupee or rs. 0.22/km. In comparison, a bike returning 35 km/l at 105/litre equals rs.3/km
    Battery warranty : 3 years
Battery life : 7 years (claimed)
Battery replacement cost : Rs. 60000 (info provided by technician, subject to drop in price as adoption increases)
Niggles : delivery date was pushed by 4 days, but guess have to give ola credit for innovation, so no complaints.
    Future updates :
March 2022 - gps, navigation and bluetooth
June 2022 - cruise control, hill hold etc

  • Specially for person thinking to buy ola bike

    Vishal Galani

At the time of purchase, they do not describe the weight of the person. If your weight is more than 70kg you do not buy this. But in India normally we ride double seats so each person has to maintain 35kg, is this scooter for children.
An online service is so poor I suggest everyone not buy online.
Now about mileage, whatever the range shows on display is always fake do not plan your ride accordingly.
Battery charging takes lots of time.
And I get delivery of this bike on 11th February 2023 and till today 15 April 2023 purchased accessories have not been received.

Buying experience is still frustrating. Riding the S1 Pro is great. Software is full of bugs. It abruptly goes into reverse mode without any input, even when the cluster shows that it is in forward mode. Power delivery is not consistent. Battery reaches high temperature pretty easily. Even the percentage shown in the cluster is not correct.

  • Costly mistake

    Viswalingam

Ola electric purchase is a costly mistake. Everything is done by subcontractors who are independent and ola does not have any control. The standard reply from customer care - sorry for the inconvenience, issue is escalated, wait for some time, soon issue will be resolved. They don't have any system to escalate an issue by a customer when the issue is not resolved or unduly delayed.
The contractor ordered me to come to his workshop to fix the number plate. Rc was with another contractor, I have to call him every day and find his whereabouts to collect the rc from him.
In the absence of a local representative (or representative available without any authority to question the subcontractors), please avoid purchasing of ola electric scooter. Price is high, customer service is extremely poor (in coimbatore) - you are going to throw over rs1, 60, 000/ into the dustbin.
I was waiting for 25 minutes to get my call connected with the customer care number only to hear the above standard answers.
With a single rider - we can safely take a ride around 90km in a normal model. When 30km range is displayed, ride mode automatically goes an eco in which we cannot go over 40kmphr speed. With two people riding, I expect 75 km is the safe range.
The handle at the back is plastic material, one cannot use it for pulling the vehicle.
Pick-up in normal mode is ok.
My only major concern is extremely poor customer care/coordination. If anyone does not worry about after-sales or customer care approach, they can take this vehicle!!!!!!!

  • That's really pathetic and unacceptable

Huge range drop, vehicle stops in between even when it has a range of 50-60 kms. The company doesn't any solution to it. Before purchasing, it said it had a range of 180 kms as it came it never even displayed more than 119 kms. No service at all, you have to wait 15-20 mins on call to reach them, and end of the call you have to disconnect it without getting any solution to the problem. They just say reboot it and your problem will be resolved. Many features are still missing which they say will come in a short time. No proper bills were supplied at the time of delivery. Pathetic people have no experience at all in the industry.

  • Worst purchase ever.

    Ramanan

Took six months more than the promised delivery date. Was stressful as they were giving false dates every time. The ride experience was initially good. However range was going low, a lot of vehicle malfunctions, cannot handle the pillion as the battery was getting overheated, promised features were missing, no updates. Lots of material quality issues. Pathetic customer care- literally no one responds or actions. Bought a new ntorq which serves the purpose. 1.5 lacs in the drain. Worst purchase ever.

The price is high but the scooter is better. It's look is very nice. Ola's ride was very smooth and comfortable. Performance is also better. Maintenance is so costly and expensive. The showroom service is so satisfying and very nice. So I suggest you buy this scooter for you and your children. It is better for you to go to the office and school.
