It was an eventful week for the Indian two-wheeler industry as a bunch of new launches took place in a variety of segments. And just like every Sunday, we are back with a round-up of five such noteworthy two-wheeler updates from the last week.

Yamaha XSR 155 Launch
Yamaha XSR155 went on sale at an introductory price of Rs. 1,49,990. The most compact member of Yamaha’s modern-retro family, XSR155 mixes classic looks with MT-15 underpinnings. This is a measured update to the 150–160cc scene with a balance of style and hardware. Power comes from the 155cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve single with Variable Valve Actuation. It produces 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm paired to a six-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slipper clutch. This set-up is known for smooth low-end drive and a clean top-end pull, so city gaps and short highway runs should be easy.

Yamaha FZ-Rave Launch
Yamaha also launched the new FZ-RAVE at Rs. 1,17,218. While it is identical to the standard FZ on most fronts, the front fascia has received a new look. It has Yamaha’s trusted 149cc, air-cooled single that delivers 12.2bhp through a five-speed gearbox. With a kerb weight of 136kg and 17-inch wheels, the bike promises quick direction changes without feeling nervous. A 13-litre tank gives it a fair range for city duty and weekend hops.

Hero Xtreme 125R Dual-channel ABS Launch
The new dual-channel ABS variant Hero Xtreme 125R was introduced, priced at Rs. 1.04 lakh. This makes it the most expensive variant of the 125cc, sporty commuter. The bike is also available in a single-channel ABS setup that is priced at Rs. 92,500. While the price difference between the single and dual-channel ABS bikes is steep at around Rs. 12,000, the extra money goes towards adding a stronger safety net. This will also be beneficial for beginners stepping into the world of motorcycles.

Kawasaki Z1100 Launch
Kawasaki launched the Z1100 supernaked in India, priced at Rs. 12.79 lakh. The motorcycle is powered by a bigger engine and receives quite a few changes over the Kawasaki Z1000. Under the skin, the Z1100 uses the same 1,099cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine as the Ninja 1100SX, producing 136bhp and 113Nm. The aluminium frame has also been borrowed from the sport tourer, while suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable Showa units. Braking hardware comes from Tokico, and the bike rides on Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres.

BMW F 450 GS Bookings
BMW Motorrad dealers started accepting unofficial bookings for the highly anticipated F 450 GS in India. The motorcycle is expected to carry an on-road price tag of Rs. 6 Lakh, which translates to an ex-showroom price of around Rs. 5 Lakh. The official launch might take place at India Bike Week 2025 in December, with deliveries beginning from January 2026. The booking amount varies city-wise. It starts from Rs. 10,000 and goes up to Rs. 50,000, and it is fully refundable.
