Last week was as exciting for Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts as it could be. Besides a few new launches, we covered stories about some highly anticipated upcoming products. In case you couldn’t keep track of these updates, here’s a round-up.
Honda Dio 125 X Launch
Honda launched the Dio 125 X-Edition in India at Rs. 87,733. This variant features a special colour scheme, giving the scooter a sportier look. It is available in a single colour scheme: Pearl Siren Blue and Pearl Deep Ground Gray. This dual-tone colour scheme features a dark blue finish on the body panels, with the apron getting a grey finish. Features-wise, the Dio 125 X-Edition is the same as the H-smart variant. It gets a TFT console with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts.
Honda Shine 125 Limited Edition Launch
Honda also introduced the Shine 125 Limited Edition in India for Rs. 86,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes it Rs. 1,000 more expensive than the Shine 125 Disc variant on which it is based. It gets a special colour scheme called Pearl Siren Blue, featuring a dark blue finish overall with brown graphics on the tank. Honda has also given it Pyrite brown coloured alloys, giving the bike a more premium touch. But aside from the new colours, the Shine 125 Limited Edition is mechanically the same as the Shine 125 Disc.
Suzuki Access 125 ABS Launch
The Suzuki Access series was joined by the new ABS-equipped variant, which is priced at Rs. 92,328. It gets a single-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), which will greatly enhance safety as ABS will prevent wheel lock in emergency/panic braking situations. This is especially true in cases where the road surface has low grip, say during monsoons. The Suzuki Access with ABS will be available in two editions - the Ride Connect Edition priced at Rs. 92,328 and Ride Connect TFT ABS Edition pegged at Rs. 98,378 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
TVS Apache RR 450 Spied
A fully-faired test mule based on the BMW F 450 GS platform was spied testing in India, sparking speculation around the upcoming TVS Apache RR 450. The prototype was heavily camouflaged, concealing most of its design details. That said, the production-spec Apache RR 450 is expected to draw design inspiration from the TVS Tangent RR Concept, which was showcased at EICMA 2025. It is expected to be powered by a 420cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, producing 48bhp and 43.5Nm of peak torque. This motor will also underpin the upcoming BMW F 450 GS.
Bajaj Pulsar 350 and Dominar 350 Imminent
Bajaj Auto is working on launching the Pulsar 350 and the Dominar 350. While we don’t have an exact launch timeline yet, we can expect both bikes to be launched in India in the coming months. Besides the Pulsar 350 and the Dominar 350, derivatives of this 350cc engine platform will also power Triumph and KTM bikes. The 350cc motor isn't exactly a new engine. It is expected to use a reduced bore while retaining the stroke to bring displacement down to 350cc from the current 373cc.
