Yamaha has finally launched the much-awaited XSR155 in India, marking its entry into the 150cc neo-retro motorcycle segment. Priced at Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the motorcycle is more affordable than its naked and sportbike siblings, the MT-15 and the R15. Apart from the impressive features and specifications, the colour palette is equally interesting.

The Yamaha XSR155 is offered in four colour options — Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic, and Metallic Blue. The Metallic Grey variant lends a minimal and classy appeal with its understated finish. The Vivid Red shade, on the other hand, is bright and youthful, accentuating the XSR’s sporty side. Greyish Green Metallic gives the bike a rugged, old-school personality, and the Metallic Blue option adds a dash of sophistication, balancing modern flair with retro lines.

Powering the XSR155 is the familiar 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The bike is underpinned by a Deltabox frame, suspended by upside-down front forks and a linked monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, with dual-channel ABS and traction control for added safety. At 137kg kerb, the XSR155 is fairly light, while the 810mm seat height makes it further accessible.
