- Nmax 155 is based on Aerox 155
- XSR 155 is based on the R15 V4
Yamaha Motor India has sent out ‘Block Your Date’ invites for a new product launch on 11 November, 2025. While the invite doesn’t mention anything about the products, we believe the Japanese bike maker could possibly launch the XSR 155 or the Nmax 155 in India this November.

We won’t be surprised if Yamaha launches both models in India, as both products have generated quite some interest amongst buyers. The chances of Yamaha launching the Nmax 155 are more likely, as the maxi-scooter was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. And with the latest introduction of the Hero Xoom 160 and the TVS Ntorq 150, it only makes sense for Yamaha to bring another option in the 150-160cc space.
On the other hand, the elusive Yamaha XSR 155 has possibly generated the highest searches in the recent past. It is one of the most searched and enquired products on BikeWale. And it is high time Yamaha should consider launching the modern-retro roadster in India soon.

Moreover, Yamaha already manufactures the Aerox 155 and the R15 in India. So, localising the Nmax 155 and XSR 155 in India shouldn’t incur much cost, as these are based on the same platforms as the Aerox and R15. Furthermore, the Indian market has matured significantly, and there is an obvious demand for premium lifestyle products in the 160cc segment for both body styles.
What’s more? With the new GST rates, both these products will be more accessible as they will fall under the 18 per cent GST bracket. If launched, these should be priced slightly below the Aerox and R15. More importantly, don’t you think Yamaha should launch the Nmax 155 and XSR 155 in India?
