- Front brake calliper may show limited function on affected scooters
- Replacement parts are offered free of cost
Yamaha has initiated a voluntary recall for its 125cc Hybrid scooter range effective immediately related to front brakes. This recall includes 3,06,635 units of RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters manufactured between 2 May, 2024 and 3 September, 2025. The company has identified a potential concern in select units where the front brake calliper may show limited function under certain operating conditions thus compromising safety.
Dealerships will be replacing the specified part free of charge for all scooters that fall under the campaign. Brake-related concerns tend to erode confidence quickly, even when the issue is limited to a subset of scooters. Hopefully the dealers are prompt enough to support this campaign for affected customers.
Customers are asked to visit the Service section on the India Yamaha Motor website, go to Maintenance, click on ‘Voluntary Recall Campaign’ and enter the chassis number in the ‘Scooter 125’ section to check the next steps and eligibility.
