Yamaha has officially taken its first step into India’s electric two-wheeler space with the launch of the all-new EC-06. Here’s a closer look at the scooter through our image gallery.

The Yamaha EC-06 carries a sharp and contemporary design that feels in line with the brand’s global styling direction. Its clean body panels, sleek LED lighting setup, and compact proportions give it a futuristic commuter appeal.

The scooter comes with a 4kWh fixed battery, and Yamaha claims a certified riding range of up to 169km on a single charge.

In terms of features, the EC-06 gets a coloured LCD display along with a practical storage layout. Yamaha has equipped it with 24.5 litres of under-seat storage, making it more functional for everyday use.

The scooter also offers three ride modes — Eco, Standard, and Power — allowing riders to tailor performance depending on traffic conditions and battery efficiency requirements. A reverse mode has also been included, which should make parking in tight city spaces much easier.

Under the bodywork, the Yamaha EC-06 uses telescopic front forks paired with a twin rear shock absorber suspension setup. Braking duties are handled by a disc brake at the front and rear, supported by a Combi Brake System.

Yamaha is expected to retail the scooter initially through select Blue Square dealerships, focusing on major cities before expanding availability further.
