Vida has launched the Dirt.E K3 electric dirt bike, designed for kids aged 4 to 10 years. The e-bike has been launched at an introductory price of Rs. 69,990 (ex-showroom) for the first 300 units. Here’s everything you need to know:
The Dirt.E K3 has a typical dirt bike design, with the raised beak-like fender, and the overall slim profile. It is powered by a 500W motor, giving a claimed top-speed of 25kmph. It gets a 360Wh battery pack, offering 2-3 hours of working range in average riding conditions. The battery pack takes approximately 2 hours to charge from 20-80 per cent.

What makes this bike unique is the ability to grow with the rider. There are three levels of suspension setting: Small, Medium, and Large. Each alters the suspension length and frame height. With the Small setting, the seat height is limited to 454mm, in medium it goes up to 544mm, and in large it shoots up to 631mm. Braking is handled by a 160mm rear disc.
Features wise, the K3 is offered with a customer app with which parents can control the bike’s ride settings. There are 3 riding modes: Low, Mid, and High, each altering the top speed and acceleration. Low mode restricts speed to 8kmph, and the Mid-mode takes it up to 17kmph. With the High mode, the full top-speed of 25kmph is unlocked.
