We first brought you the news about the UM electric cruiser to be launched in India. The manufacturer has now officially named the bike as the Renegade Thor.
The Renegade Thor is built on a new platform that will be a base for future e-bikes from UM. It will be powered by a 30kW motor that produces 50bhp and boasts of a 150km range in a single charge. The bike will be available with a fast-charging system which will charge the motor to 80 per cent in 40 minutes.
The manufacturer will unveil the bike at the 2018 Auto Expo on 8 Feb. Likely to be priced around Rs 6 lakhs- Rs 7 lakhs, the Renegade Thor will first be available in Delhi; thanks to its advanced charging infrastructure.
However, the bike will not have any direct competition as the Indian market currently does not offer electric bikes.
