- Expected to be called TVS Orbiter
- Likely to be positioned below the TVS iQube
TVS has officially announced the launch of its upcoming electric scooter on 28 August, 2025. The EV in question is expected to be the TVS Orbiter, which was recently trademarked in the country. The launch invite teases a covered vehicle with the ‘O’ letter behind it, hinting at it being the TVS Orbiter.
The TVS iQube range currently starts at around Rs. 1 lakh for the base variant, going up to Rs. 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec model. TVS is reportedly preparing a new entry-level electric scooter, expected to be priced under the Rs. 1 lakh mark. This upcoming model will take on the lower trims of the Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 X.

Interestingly, TVS has also patented the design of a new electric scooter in Indonesia, and the sketches reveal a rather premium-looking product. Although unconfirmed, this could possibly be the new Orbiter scooter. The vehicle in the patent filings features sleek styling, larger wheels, and a swingarm-mounted motor. Whether this turns out to be the rumoured TVS Orbiter or an entirely different model remains to be seen.
A computerised render provides a glimpse of what the production-ready version could look like. If the final scooter bears any resemblance to this render, TVS may well have a strong contender in the entry-level EV space.
