TVS has expanded its electric scooter lineup in India with the launch of its third EV, the Orbiter. This e-scooter has been priced at Rs. 99,900.
From the pictures, it is clear that the new TVS Orbiter is being positioned as an urban electric scooter for the young and also for the entire family. The overall styling is quite nice, and there are modern traits like large LED lights, decently-sized windscreen, and body panels that are large and a bit curvy too.
In terms of performance, the company has claimed an overall riding range of 158km in a single charge. It is available only in a 3.1kWh battery pack option, unlike iQube, which has multiple battery variants. The details of the overall charging time and fast charging options haven't been made public yet. The scooter gets a very detailed instrument cluster that also supports Bluetooth integration.
TVS has equipped the scooter with some fancy features like cruise control, hill hold function, and reverse parking assist. USB charging, OTA updates, and smartphone application comes as standard.
The bookings for the TVS Orbiter have commenced online, and will be sold in six paint schemes - Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper. It goes up against the Ather Rizta.
