TVS Apache RTX Launched at Rs. 1.99 Lakh With New RT-XD4 Engine
    • Price starts from Rs. 1.99 lakh (introductory ex-showroom)
    • New 299.1cc liquid-cooled 35.5bhp DOHC engine
    • Bookings now open; Deliveries from 15 November

TVS Motor Company has finally made a bold entry in the adventure touring segment with the all-new TVS Apache RTX priced at an introductory Rs. 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. Developed on the latest RT-XD4 platform, this model marks an important expansion of the Apache series, combining rally-inspired design with long-distance touring ability. RTX will be available in three variants. The base at Rs. 1.99 lakh, top variant at Rs. 2.14 lakh, and the custom spec BTO variant at Rs. 2.29 lakh (all prices introductory, ex-showroom).

Apache RTX gets the newly developed 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that puts out 35.5bhp maximum power at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine gets dual cooling technology with water and oil jackets and uses a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The powertrain sits on a purpose-built steel trellis frame designed to deliver agility, stability, and control across varied terrains.

The new RT-XD4 platform showcases TVS’s next-generation engineering approach, offering better cooling efficiency, smoother power delivery, and reduced emissions. It incorporates dual overhead cams, dual oil pump with split crankcase, and a dual breather system for consistent long-duration performance. This engine also supports ethanol-blended fuels.

Apache RTX is loaded with rider-focused technology. It features four ride modes: Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally. These alter engine response, traction control, and ABS settings according to terrain. It also gets a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, and linear traction control. A five-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity offers map mirroring, navigation, and ride data, while adjustable levers and a tyre pressure monitoring system add further convenience.

Suspension is handled by WP components, long-travel inverted cartridge fork at the front, and a mono-tube floating piston unit at the rear. Together, these offer balanced damping and stability over rough terrain. Brakes are managed by dual discs with terrain-adaptive ABS. Combine that with chassis geometry that ensures confidence both on tarmac and trails.

The design is purpose-built for toughness and aggression. Its muscular silhouette seamlessly merges the tank and headlamp into a forward-leaning form, giving the motorcycle a rally-ready stance. The signature DRL blades, crystalline twin-beam headlamp, and animated lighting elements add a distinctive visual identity. Colour options include Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze, each accented by the Apache Red.

Supporting touring utility, the RTX offers modular mounts for luggage, crash guards, and touring accessories. TVS has partnered with GIVI to offer quick-release panniers and a top box for high-quality accessories.
