The TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have crossed the 2 lakh units production milestone under their long-running partnership. The latest unit, a BMW F 450 GS, was rolled out from TVS Motor’s Hosur facility, marking a significant moment for the Indo-German alliance that has been active since 2013.
Over the years, the collaboration has produced sub-500cc motorcycles, including the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR, all of which are sold across more than 100 global markets. At present, however, the G 310 R and G 310 GS have been discontinued in India.
Both companies have confirmed that development is underway on new platforms and future-ready technologies aimed at expanding their reach in the premium and urban mobility segments. The partnership aims to continue to leverage TVS' quality yet cost-effective development and manufacturing in India.
