TVS has unveiled the new Aegis Rider Vision Helmet that aims to offer a new HUD or Heads Up Display system for riders. It introduces advanced augmented-reality functionality to enhance real-time road awareness. The system uses spatial anchoring to project navigation directions, speed, alerts, and notifications directly into the rider’s field of view, allowing continuous focus on the road without needing to glance at a phone or instrument console.
At its core is a binocular µOLED projection unit. The helmet also integrates an action camera, wireless connectivity, adaptive brightness control, and supports over-the-air updates. Powering the electronics is a 7,000mAh battery claimed to offer extended operational time.
The Vision Helmet pairs with TVS motorcycles through a dedicated companion app that enables riders to customise the type and amount of information shown inside the AR display.
As for the helmet itself, it is made of a carbon-fibre shell engineered in collaboration with Nexx Helmets. This helmet is certified to global safety standards, including ECE 22.06 and CE.
