After releasing a set of teaser pictures, Triumph Motorcycles has finally revealed the new TF 250-E and TF 450-E enduro motorcycles. With these two bikes, the British brand is planning to enter the Enduro World Championship.
Both bikes are built around the same aluminium chassis developed to be light and agile. Inside this chassis lies the heart of the motorcycle – the engine. The TF 250-E is a 250cc, single-cylinder motorcycle that makes around 42bhp of peak power, whereas the TF 450-E gets a 450cc motor that makes 58bhp. Both these engines receive good torque figures too, which is much needed for motorcycles in this class.
The company has used a lot of premium cycle parts to make it competition-ready. There are titanium valves, forged pistons, and a Dellorto 44mm throttle body. In the suspension department, there's a fully adjustable KYB 48mm forks and adjustable linkage-driven rear suspension. Both the bikes get the same setup. When it comes to braking, these enduro bikes get a Galfer braking system at the front, 260mm front brake disc with a 24mm Brembo dual piston, and a 220mm rear brake disc with a 26mm single floating calliper. The Enduro 2 tyres are from Michelin, which is known for its diverse adaptable conditions.
Triumph will soon start taking bookings of both the bikes in UK. The TF 250-E retails at around Rs. 10.50 lakh whereas the 450 version costs Rs. 11.50 lakh. These bikes are fully road-legal in the UK, and will also be in Europe where it will be launched later this year.
