The 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400 XC has been launched in India. The motorcycle is the flagship Triumph offering in the 400cc segment and is positioned above the Scrambler 400 X. Let’s look at the bike's top highlights.

Tubeless Spoke Wheels
The most significant addition to the Scrambler 400 XC is the introduction of tubeless cross-spoke wheels, lending it the much-needed ‘Scrambler’ appearance. These should be more abuse-friendly, while also offering the convenience of fixing punctures without the need to remove the tyre.

New Colours
Triumph hasn’t carried over any paint scheme from the 400 X and has bestowed the Scrambler 400 XC with three new colourways with racy speed-block graphics. These new shades are Racing Yellow, Vanilla White, and Granite. While the Racing Yellow colourway looks bold and vibrant, the other two paint schemes look attractive but understated.

Standard Fitments
While the overall design of the Scrambler 400 XC is similar to the X, the bike comes fitted with a colour-coded beak fender and windshield as standard. The fitments add to the visual appeal of the bike. Moreover, the XC also benefits from an aluminium bash plate and comprehensive engine protection with lower bars.

Higher Asking Price
With the addition of features such as tubeless spoke wheels, engine and sump guard, raised fender, and a visor, the price has gone up by nearly Rs. 27,000. The motorcycle retails at Rs. 2.94 lakh (ex-showroom), making it on par with the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure X and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Engine and Features
Mechanically, the Scrambler 400 XC is powered by the same 398cc, liquid-cooled engine as the X. The single-cylinder motor produces 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm of peak torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

This motor offers better refinement compared to the 390 Adventure or the Himalayan 450. Feature-wise, the bike gets full LED lighting, switchable ABS and traction control, and an assist and clutch.
