Triumph Rocket 3 221 Special Editions: What’s different?

Triumph Motorcycles recently launched a slew of special editions in the country. Out of those there were the Rocket 3 221 Special Editions. So here we tell you all there is to know about the motorcycle and what makes them different from the standard models.

Premium pricing

Just like the standard Rocket 3 range, the 221 Special Edition is available in two variants- R and GT. The Rocket 3 R 221 is priced at Rs 20.80 lakh whereas the Rocket 3 GT 221 cost Rs 21.40 lakh. In comparison to their standard counterparts, both Special Editions demand a premium of Rs 90,000 each.

But, why the higher price?

Triumph Rocket 3 Fuel Tank

The 221 Edition celebrates the Rocket 3’s engine. The massive 2458cc, motor is the largest inline-three engine ever made and it produces a whopping 221Nm of torque. So, Triumph has proudly showcased those numbers on the motorcycle.

The decals read ‘2458cc engine, 167PS power, 85.9mm stroke and 110.2mm bore’ on the fuel tank that has been finished in Red Hopper paint which is unique to the Special Editions. The Rocket 3 also gets contrasting Sapphire Black on the flyscreen, headlamp cowls, side panels, radiator cowls, and the rear section as well.
