The Bonneville 400 will be the next offering from the British brand, and will complete the Triumph 400 line-up in India. Before the motorcycle is launched in India, we have got more exclusive details about the upcoming Triumph Bonneville 400.
We have learned that the bike will come with an exhaustive list of accessories that have been specifically designed by Triumph for the Bonneville 400. These accessories will likely be inspired by the bigger Bonneville range and will improve the bike’s visual and touring appeal.
The bike is likely to be offered with accessories such as touring fly screen, bench-style seat, touring seat, bar-end mirrors, back rest, waxed leather saddlebags, and more. It could also be offered with engine protection guards and a lot of chrome-finished parts to elevate its classic appeal.
Apart from the accessories, the Bonneville 400 is also expected to get a custom state of tune for the engine. It will be powered by a 349cc, liquid-cooled motor, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The engine will be tuned to offer more torque in the low-end and mid-range. This should result in fewer gear changes, making it easier to ride in the city.
The baby Bonnie is expected to be launched in India in September 2026. Traditionally, the bigger Bonneville range is positioned below the equivalent Speed and Scrambler models, and we expect the same for the Bonneville 400. Given its simpler cycle parts and a more conservative engine tune, the bike could be priced under Rs. 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
Moreover, authentic Bonneville styling and larger proportions should make it an ideal rival to the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
