- Parallel-twin engine with 82bhp and 78Nm
- EVO adds Akrapovic exhaust, single-seat cover, and tank pad
Suzuki has unveiled the hot new GSX-8R EVO. This is a performance-focused evolution of its GSX-8R sports motorcycle for the European market with premium components and visual updates. While the GSX-8R EVO has been introduced in Europe, we hope Suzuki considers bringing limited units to our market.
The EVO variant has a factory-fitted Akrapovic exhaust system for both sound and aesthetics. A colour-matched single-seat cowl replaces the pillion seat for a more sporty profile, while a custom tank pad adds protection for paint. These upgrades give the EVO a more track-oriented presence compared to the standard GSX-8R.

The GSX-8R EVO is powered by the same 776cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled DOHC engine with Suzuki’s patented Cross Balancer system. It puts out 82bhp of maximum power and 78Nm of torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter.
Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) includes a three-level traction control system that can be switched off, a ride-by-wire throttle for precise control, three selectable engine maps, and the Low RPM Assist feature that prevents stalling in traffic.
The motorcycle uses an aluminium swingarm, steel frame, and Showa’s fully adjustable upside-down forks at the front, combined with a rear monoshock. The combination offers improved front-end precision and agility.
